Human Finger found in chili at Wendy's

I wonder where the woman is that is missing her finger. I can not believe that a company would send out a batch of product if there had been an accident during the production of the batch. Of course I guess anything for the almighty $$$. EWWWWW...

I agree that this is disgusting. But I have to mention, I doubt the woman who is missing her finger is still alive. If you get what I'm sayin. I don't think she'd just "forget" her finger.

You mean it's not really chili? :scratchin

Uusually these stories are either "urban legend" , completely untrue or made up by the customer as an attempt to shake down the restaurant.

Well this one's true. They said on the news this morning that the health department confirmed that it was indeed a human finger.

When the woman first reported this to the workers and showed it to them, they told her it was a vegetable!!

I am about 3 miles from said Wendy's as we speak. Maybe I'll swing by after work and see if anyone's actually eating there today!!

You are thinking just like me that is the first thing that crossed my mind"Where is the rest of the body?"

CSI I bet this is an episode next week! :rotfl2:

Theoretically, the woman could have brought the finger with her, stuck it in the food, and does intend to shake-down the restaurant. Still trying to find some logic to the situation!

And I almost ate Wendy's chili last night. We were in the drive through 'cause I had a real craving for a baked potato. And then I thought that a baked potato and chili sounded good. So we placed our order, got to the window and paid, and were THEN told that they were out of baked potatoes. I don't know why this particular Wendy's is almost always out of potatoes. So I cancelled the order, had to argue with them to give me my money back (they weren't going to) and we went to McD's instead.

If I had actually had the chili last night, I'm sure I'd be thoroughly sick right now at the thought.

Precisely my first thought. There have been several of these types of claims before--one I think someone claimed they found a mouse in their coke can, later they admitted it was planted. So, I'm not saying it wasn't a finger, but don't be too quick to blame Wendy's for this.

I heard on the news this morning that the health dept. has confirmed that it indeed was a finger (tip of a finger) They said that it came from an "unreported" accident at the processing plant.

HELLO???????? Excuse me, but if I was involved in a work accident serious enough that I lost part of my finger, you bet I am filing an accident report.

Kind of makes you wonder WHY someone would not file a report as serious as this. Maybe INS should pay a visit to the processing palnt?

it was the finger with nail above the first knuckle who would not report that unless they thought they would lose their job or this plant is in a 3rd world country.

here is a link be warned it is graphic and gross

On my local news website, www.wgal.com, they had a freakin' Wendy's ad right next to the article about the finger!!

That is just SIIIIIIICK...Reminds me of that one Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode :rotfl:

gross!!

I just have to say I had a friend who worked at Wendy's and she told me that the restaurant she worked at had moldy fries but they still fried them. She said if you get a fry with a dark looking burnt spot on it, it is mold. :scared: :crazy2:
