How to remove/change primary guest on reservation?

This is perhaps a dumb question, but here goes...

I am most likely going to be renting a confirmed reservation I have booked. I cannot see how to change the name of the primary guest (myself) if the reservation indeed gets rented. I can add/remove/edit other guests, but I cannot change my name. How does this work with renting, or just booking a room for others you're traveling with? Thanks!

You have to call MS to change the primary guest. Can't do it yourself online.

Maybe. I don't know. Haven't ever used MS chat service. I'm sure someone will post who knows. (I hate calling, too, but at least hold times seem to be reasonable again).

Add them as a guest, have them changed to primary on chat. Then add or delete whoever else.

I do it by email. I takes 2-3 days.
