How much $$ to add Park Hopper option?

We're debating adding the Park Hopper option to our tickets. We are mostly planning on doing a one-park-a-day kind of thing, but we've never had the opportunity to take advantage of EMH's, and it's possible we may want to. Anyway, there's no way we'd do the morning EMH (we're not morning people anyway so 9 is early enough for us1:thumbsup2 ), but there are two evening EMH opportunities during our stay that might be fun, but we're not sure it's worth it.

I read on Disney's site that we can add the Park Hopper option when we're down there if we decide we need it, but if we do that, how much will it be per ticket? If we didn't want to add it until the last 2 days of our tickets, would the amount be prorated or would we have to pay for Park Hopper as if we had it from the beginning? Does that even make sense?:confused3 I guess my main concern is that I don't want to pay for a Park Hopper if we're not going to use it (and we certainly won't be doing a LOT of hopping with a toddler and a pregnant lady:laughing:), but if it would be useful to our trip and make it more enjoyable, it would of course be worth the cost. Thanks for your help!!

The Park Hopper add-on costs $50. It's the same price whether you have a 1-day ticket or a multi-day ticket. And it still costs the same if you buy it after you've started using the ticket.

I believe it's around $50 per ticket to add park hoppers and it is not pro rated. It's the same whether you add the hopping for a day or 10 days. But the nice thing is, you can add it later if you decide you want to hop. So if you don't think you are going to, you don't have to purchase that option. And if you don't for that trip, then you haven't wasted the money. But if you decide part way through your stay that you want to hop that afternoon, you can just add it right then and there and you are set to park hop that very moment that it's added to your ticket.

I see that someone beat me to the answer since I had to walk away from my computer during the typing of it to finish some work - so sorry for typing out the same reply as the previous poster. When I started my answer, no one had replied yet but by the time I got back to my computer to finish my answer and post it, someone had already answered.

Boo about it not being pro-rated! (I guess that's a good deal, though, if you have a long stay) We're still undecided, and will probably remain so until we actually get there. :) Is it worth it... is it not... hmm....

I think adding the hopper option is an excellent idea... $50 isn't that much in the grand scheme of things. It's nice to have the ability to hop from one park to another if desired. We usually finish up at Animal Kingdom sooner than other parks and go close down MK and see the fireworks. That's when a Hopper really comes in handy.
