How Many Outfits/Day Do You Pack??

I'll be going "home" to WDW in June :cool1: I've been before in September, April, and February but never June. That being said, I know what I'm in for as far as Orlando temperatures in June -avg. high of 91°F, avg. low of 74°F, mean temp of 82°F, and avg. 72% humidity :beach:. I know it's going to be hot, sticky and humid. I'm wondering how many outfits per day you pack for yourselves while in WDW, specifically in the summer heat?

I'm a minimalist. I don't go to the parks but plenty of trips in hot weather involving hiking, etc.

I would usually expect bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts) to go 3 days, shirts one. If very hot, cut bottoms to 2 days. If I'm cleaning up to go out to dinner, I wear that night what I plan to wear the next day. As long as I don't spill food, it doesn't get dirty/sweaty/hot in the evening. Depending on length of trip, I may wash tops/undies in sink and hang to dry.

I went in July a few years back with my family. It wasn't a super long trip - 4 nights. The heat and humidity was brutal - a lot like home in the DC/Baltimore suburbs. I think we each had shorts and a t-shirt for wearing during the day and then an outfit for the evening - comfy sun dresses for DD and I or polos and khaki shorts for DH and DS. I think we brought 2 swimsuits each as well because we did afternoon pool/nap breaks.

A couple of questions - are you driving or flying (really is space in your bag a premium or not). Depending on that depends on my answer (at least for how I pack). My summer outfits are normally a light summer casual dress of some type and sandals that are comfortable. I do tend to pack an extra outfit but because I normally go to the park from when we get there to close I don't change that day. If I knew I was going back to the hotel before dinner I would probably be inclined to pack an extra outfit for the evening, and the suggestion of an outfit for that evening and then the next day would probably be my plan since I tend towards dresses for the summer (so good for dinner out as well). It also depends on if you plan to check a bag or are trying to do carryon. For that length I would be inclined to do a carryon (if flying), and therefore would pack more strategically - whereas if I'm not flying I've been known to pack the largest bag I own with stuff I will never wear just in case - even for that short a trip! So my answer is it depends on your packing space :)
