How many hours did you work?

I know it depends on where you wind up working and what time of year it is, but I'm curious to see specific examples of what people worked on their CP. Like, I worked x role at x location and I worked x hours a week typically, but x hours during peak season.

I'm just trying to get a feel for it, especially Photopass, but I think this would be really helpful for other people to see.

I worked in attractions at Test Track and I worked 39-42 hours a week typically, but up to 60 hours a week during peak season.

The hardest thing for me to adjust to was that there was absolutely no predictability behind my schedule. I didn't always have the same two days off. I didn't always work closing shifts (although they were that I was most often scheduled) and I had start and end times varying from 6:30am all the way until 12:45am. It was difficult some days to flip flop around (close one night and open the next) even if I had ten hours between the shifts.

Everything was doable but it wasn't always rosy.

I worked at DAK as a park greeter. The highest number of hours I worked was about 58 during Easter, and the lowest was about 16 (when my family came to visit). Generally, I worked 32-38 hours per week. Working at DAK was great, because the hours were so predictable. The earliest I was ever scheduled was 7 am and the latest was about 1030 pm (only during Easter week when we were open until 9).

I was a Character Performer and worked 32-35 hours/week. There was no change in hours during peak weeks.

I worked at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (both in MK and DTD) and typically worked about 45-55 hours a week depending on if I picked up extra shifts or not. It was fun cause those checks were awesome!!! (can you say shopping on discount....)

I worked 12:30-8:15 almost everyday on my CP (I was "bid" a schedule since I was a character attendant.) Even during peak times, my hours were not extended, but I normally would be scheduled a 6th day of work.

I'm hoping that whatever job I get, I can work as much as possible. Though, do they do the 1.5x with overtime? Or do you get paid the same amount no matter how much you work? Not asking for numbers, just logistics.

I worked at beaches and cream and was typically scheduled around 40 hours a week, but I was also BBB trained from a previous program and picked up shifts on my days off...

If I was ambitious with my doubles, I could work 60 hour weeks

Yes you will get time and a hlaf for overtime, and some managers are more lenient than others regarding getting overtime as a cp...

My manager at Beaches told me to get as much overtime as you want (without getting double time) however I know at the Boutique, they were cracking down when I tried to pick up shifts on me getting overtime.

Ah. Well, I hope they are lenient wherever I'm placed (if I'm accepted).

Haha! I figure it was someone I knew...I just joined the board, cause I am applying to some PI's and management internships! Do you miss it yet? or are you still happy to be done with your cp?

I miss it. I started bawling when I watched the Magic the Memories and You on youtube. It was bad... lol.

When I worked at the Emporium I almost always had 40 hours. the one week I got more was easter week where I had 6 days, and picked up another shift. They were pretty strict about not scheduling people over 40 hours, but I think since they had so many people they were able to mamage that. Since I was merch it was pretty easy to pick up more shifts in other locations if I wanted.

I worked as a lifeguard at Yacht & Beach Club PM shift from 3:30 - 10:30 every day. So 35 hours a week

Good old QSFB on Main Street USA (Casey's/Bakery/Cone Shop). 45-60 hours per week. There were only four weeks that I had more that one day off during the whole program, and from the time I trained, until May 4th, I never got out before midnight. Not a single day. But Main Street is the most magical place at Disney, so I wouldn't have traded it.

Those awesome light blue striped costumes with the hat. I thought those costumes were so cute! That and the Casey's costume was awesome theming to say the least (to be honest I just wanted to be in food just to wear the Casey's costume cause it was so awesome).

Disney is actually REALLY good with overtime. Anything over 8 hours a day is considered overtime and you'll get pay time and half for it.

I worked at DAK Kilimanjaro Safaris and we worked around 50 hours average a week. We were EXTREMELY understaffed, though. It was a bit miserable at times. You don't know how much your voice hurts until you talk constantly all day for 6 days a week!

I worked at Wilderness Lodge Resort in Whispering Canyon Cafe and Artist Point as a cook and worked 50-60 hours per week consistently. Most days were 2pm-1230am.

Anyone Custodial that could give an estimate of how many hours you got?
