I'm going out with my friend from work tomorrow at noon for Margeritas. I have been SO good on my diet. We haven't been out for Margerita's all school year and we usually go during the school year. Now that things are winding down we are going tomorrow. I was just trying to see if I could figure out how many calories I should expect to consume. We always have Chilli's frozen margeritas if anyone knows.

If you buy the margarita, it's got about 300 calories.

If you drink someone else's margarita, it's got 0 calories.

Here's a calc a Google search turned up:

Here's the recipe for Chili's Presidente Margarita: 1 1/4 oz Sauza Commemorativo Tequila (80 cals), 1/2 oz Presidente Brandy (35 cals), 1/2 oz Cointreau (50 cals), 4 oz Sour Mix (108), Splash of Lime Juice (5 cals) TOTAL Cals 278.

That's for your basic margarita - any sort of flavored margarita is going to be a lot higher, as almost all the flavoring comes from high-sugar syrups.

Note the it's the mixers that kill you in many drinks - the sour mix in a margarita. If you switch to straight alcohol, wine, or seltzer/diet soda based mixed drinks, you cut way down on the calories.

According to weight watchers, one 4oz margarita is 5 points. Since no margarita I have ever ordered out was 4oz, I would probably triple it. 1 point is roughly 50 calories, so you are probably looking at around 750 calories. But they are so well worth it!!;)

If you drink enough of them, you won't be able to do the math and that'll mean there are none. :)

just don't have any food.....

I know the HUGE ones at my favorite place are close to 1000!

Why does my favorite drink have to be so fattening????

we own a mexican restaurant and i know that that we as do most places use super refined sugar:scared1: in our frozen margaritas. that alone is a ton of calories. Stick with "on the rocks" it has to be less calories!!

I like margaritas that come in glasses that are as big as my head. So, I suppose it's like a week's worth of calories, ya think?

The rocks it is, thanks for the advice. I wonder how many calories were looking at now.
