I'm thinking of starting to make fudge tonight for the family party next Saturday. I'm sure if I keep it in tupperware it will be mean, just looking for reassurances.

At my house, we don't have to worry about storage for homemade fudge! :thumbsup2

That's just what I was thinking....but I freeze it too.
DS prefers it that way, so it wasn't a good solution for hiding it.
It does get dry if it sits out too long, but tupperware should be fine.

Ive had it in a fridge for a week or 2 once and it was still fine.

Sorry, I don't understand, you mean you can save it??? :)

:lmao: In my house it's "how creative can you be about hiding the fudge so it makes it to the party?" It does keep well, though. You won't have a problem. We just plunk it out of whatever we made it in, in one big block and wrap it in Seran then foil, and don't cut it until you are going to use it. That will help keep it from drying out.

If you wrap it well in plastic wrap and then find a cool and secure hiding place it will keep for at least a month. If you put it in Tupperware in the fridge I'd give it less than 12 hours.

you're kidding....RIGHT?

according to some studies that I pretended to look up on the interweb, you are required to continously nibble on it, after offerring to guests and/or spouse and children. (a question transmitted by telepathy will suffice) and their refusal to interfere in your consuming this health food.

(health food, you say? WHY yes, look at what it is made of! every item needed for continued good health.)

:lmao:

There's another study that says in order to be properly executed it should contain rum. But then you roll it into balls and call them "rum balls" instead of fudge. I'll be doing some of those later this week. :rolleyes1 Serious challenge to keep the children out of those, but it's worth the effort...

Mmmmmm, Of course you can do that the PIRATE way. Just a nibble of fudge, and a swig 'O RUM!!!!

Alternate until full!!!!! (or passed out)

Since chocolate starts out as a bean and grows on a tree, I believe it is either a fruit or a veggie.

So you should eat it all, it's very good for you.

Bean, eh? wonder it that is where they got the idea for chocolate Tarts

I was gonna say less than an hour.... and I think I'll make some fudge today!

Wrapped and put in an air tight container it will last about a month, Thats if it hidden well. You can also freeze it.

Once air gets at the fudge it starts to become sugary.

My parents asked me to make some of my fudge for them for christmas this year.

Since Dec. 1, I have made over 30 batches of fudge. It just does not last in my home. the kids walk through the kitchen and the fudge vanishes. My husband wakes up in the midle of the night for munchies, the fudge is gone....

I am trying to play with a few differant varriations on fudge. I am looking for a good chocolate beanutbutter recipie.

Does anyone have a good recipe they can share?

If you add peanut butter chips to it, it also had protein. so it is doubly good for you. :thumbsup2

There are quite a few variations at the bottom of this first post for fudge cups:
