How intense is Mission Space: GREEN?

I realize it doesn't spin as the centrifuge is turned off, but how much other motion is there? Is it mostly just some bumps and jiggles or does it invert or face completely up or down at any point?

The newest incarnation of Star Tours is pretty standard motion simulator fare, except a few of the scenarios puts you almost 90 degrees facing down - which really surprised me.

Any comments on which is more intense: "Green" or Star Tours?

I'm someone who can't do Orange, and I was totally fine in Green. I found Star Tours to be a bit rougher than Green Mission Space.

In my opinion, green is a little more intense than Star Tours, but it's not bad. I've never been on orange, so I can't compare the two, however I don't think green is that intense.

My 80's heart patient mother loved green. Wouldn't have let her on orange for anything! Her dr told her green was ok for her.

Green isn't as much fun as orange but it's pretty mild. Easier by far than the old Body Wars ride was, if you remember that one.

For me, Star Tours is far more intense the Mission Space: Green. The last time I did Star Tours, I did get slightly motion sick (I think it might have to do with the 3D effects). I've done Green and didn't feel anything; in fact, I hate to say this, but Green was kind of boring. It reminded me being in a closet the shook slightly. I was really worried about riding Green, but it ended up being fine from a motion sickness perspective.

Mission: SPACE Green Team Less Intense Training includes pretty mild motion. It mostly just shakes and vibrates. It also can swing either forward of backward, but this is done to make you feel "pinned" to your seat (in reality it is just gravity, in the spinning version the g-forces push you back though it can also pitch, as in the moment before take-off) and happens quite gradually (you won't feel it swing). The rest of the "motion" is pretty much caused by the video screens.

Compared to Star Tours, I'd say it is less intense.

Ironically I have never ridden MS Green only Orange. I'm correct in assuming Green is the exact same ride minus the G-Forces I experience on Orange?

I thought Star Wars was way more intense too. We rode Green on Mission Space and DS8 LOVED it! He got scared during the Star Wars ride.

Hmmmm, I didn't feel anything on the green, and I was thinking of skipping it this time around, because I was kinda bored. :confused3 I rode by myself, because the person I was with said they don't do many rides, because she gets motion sickness. I thought she would have been ok, because she managed
Test Track, which is way worse, IMO. I do not ride RnR or TT in HS. I do ride Star Tours though. I love ST and that ride is way more intense for me than Mission Space green.

I'm a total thrill ride wimp and found green to be pretty lame. You probably want to skip it if you have any claustrophobia issues, though. Still no way I'm getting on orange! :faint:

Next time I'm bringing a level to Star Tours. :) I think that's mainly an illusion.

Actually there's a scene like the Hoth scene on MS, after landing on Mars. Makes us giggle to combine the two in our heads.

IMO (and the opinion of my son, husband, cousin, and cousin's husband) MS Green is nothing. Some shakes, some stuff on a screen, some blinking lights.

I love it when you're strapped in and it tilts just slightly forward, because I just relax against the restraints and it feels nice. I always fall a little bit asleep right then. :)

I will agree with the claustrophobia comment. I never have issues with thrill rides, but when that capsule closed, OMG -- I totally had to close my eyes, deep breathe, and pretend to my kids that I was fine. WAY too small a space for me.

Star Tours is more intense than Mission Space Green. We have done both sides of Mission Space and Star Tours. I felt sick after Orange and Star Tours but I can do Mission Space Green 5 times back to back with no issue.

since i didnt like orange, i tried green. well, i didnt like green either. but after a short rest and some water, i was back to normal.

star tours made me not feel good. i will never ride it again.

Can I hijack the thread and ask how intense the Orange side is? We've only ever tried the green. What rides (as far as level if intensity) does it compare to?

I'm incredibly prone to motion sickness, and green doesn't bother me at all.

Star Tours, however, makes me throw up. I hate it.

I won't ride it, but my husband rides it every trip. He never gets motion sickness, but orange leaves him disoriented. He feels it in his head and it takes a few minutes for his equilibrium to normalize. He won't ride it twice in a row.

For me, orange was way too intense. The G forces made my face feel like it weighed 100 pounds. It's a sensation that I have not felt on other rides. It took me a few hours to recover.

Green is completely different. It did not have the same effect as orange or Star Tours. I agree with most posters, Star Tours creates more motion sickness than green MS. Orange is off the charts sick.
