How do you clean your phone? Car keys? Seat belt?

How do you clean/disinfect your phone without getting it too wet? How often do you clean it?

Also, if you clean your car keys how do you do that?

And one final cleaning question: how do you clean your seat belt? I hate to think about the sweat, dead skin cells, and dirt those things probably have on them.

I have those alcohol prep pads that I wipe my phone with. I also use the Pledge Electronic Wipes. They aren't too wet.

I don't really clean my keys or seatbelt. Just keep my hands clean with some homemade wipes (alcohol) and occasionally swipe the keys.

Never clean my seatbelts.

Keys, I clean whenever I happen to have a disinfectant wipes in my hand.

My phone is in a waterproof case 24/7 so I literally wash my phone under the sink with hand soap every night.

My actual phone I use a bit of alcohol on a cotton ball and let air dry. Then I will use the cloth I have for my eye glasses to get the smudges off. My phone case I was in hot soapy water and let air dry and again wipe with the eye glass cloth on it.

Keys I have never really washed but they have be gross. I don't wear a belt.

I think you missed the seat part of the belt question, unless you don’t use seat belts?

At the height of covid I used a Lysol wipe to wipe down my phone and keys as well as steering wheel. Otherwise I don’t really bother doing that. It’s never occurred to me to worry about a seatbelt being dirty!

Keys... unless they are electronic, throw them in the sink after the dishes are done. Electronic ones, wipe the outside with a lysol wipe (if you can find them). Same with the seat belt. Pull it out and give it a good wipe (in the grooves, too) with a couple of lysol wipes.

phone - be careful. Some of those cleaners might stripe the coating on the phone and make it a bit sticky and hard to move your fingers. Just use a gentle cleaner (or something sold by the manufacturer if you can find it) and wipe off immediately. Or... buy the next new model and retire your old one. ;)

I am terrible. I never clean those things (last one because I do not have a car. Or a license.)
The only time I clean my phone is when I am wearing make up and it rubs off when I am on the phone. And then it's just with wet wipes and then dry it off.

I wipe my phone, keys, steering wheel, seat belt buckle, door handle, etc with Lysol Wipes all the time. I keep a container in the car and wipe them down anytime I have to touch them before I've had a change to wash/sanitize my hands.

Use a wipe to clean my phone. I don't regularly clean my keys or seatbelts unless I've spilled something on them.

Do not clean my seat belt.

Vinegar and water spray for phone and keys. Wipe off. At least once a week.

I spray Lysol onto a paper towel to wash my phone.

I've never cleaned a seat belt. On occasion, I have wiped down keys but very rarely as well.

When I get home, the keys go on my key rack and then I wash my hands when I get home anyway so I don't really see the need to clean keys.

I don't clean keys or seatbelts. Occasionally will clean my phone. I'm a disgusting person. :rotfl:

🤣 Yep, missed the seat part. I clean the bucket part when I clean the inside of the car (which isn't nearly often enough). Just spray it with cleaner and wipe it down. The actual belt part I have never cleaned.

I have never cleaned my keys or seatbelts in 48 years.

Occasionally, once every 6 months or so, I might clean my phone with windex. Not because of COVID but because it is just nasty.
This ^^^ exactly. I don't even really have keys now; my car is a push-start and the fob stays attached to my wallet (which I also never clean). Earlier in the year I'd carry Lysol wipes and wipe down the touchable surfaces inside my car when I'd get in after shopping but I haven't bothered with that in months. Masking, distancing and washing my hands is where my precautions now begin and end. I don't even really think about it anymore. I think the odds of receiving a large enough viral load to contract Covid from surface contact are pretty low.

I wipe my phone case with a Clorox wipe.

I never clean my seatbelt (it only really touches my clothes?). My car uses a key fob and a push to start. The key fob is attached to my wallet, neither gets cleaned, and the push button gets wiped down with a wipe when I do my steering wheel. In March/April, that was at least weekly but much less often now.
