How do I get a chocolate shake stain out of carpet?

So, my lovely daughter was not paying attention the other day and knocked over her steak and shake, chocolate malt onto the carpet in our family room. The entire malt laid there in a big puddle of mess. I cleaned it up and used dish soap, resolve carpet cleaner and my parents have a steam cleaner vac which they used as well. I still see a big oval of a darker shade color stain. The carpet is sort of like a shag carpet in an oatmeal color. Does anyone have any suggestions of what may remove this stain? Thanks.

Bought and used this stuff a few years back when the kids were younger and spilled on themselves. I'm pretty sure it would work for carpets too. I got it at Walmart. Its by Carbona and called Stain Devils. Different ones work on different kinds of stains, for chocolate you would use the"#2 Ketchup and Sauce" one. BTW the grass one works wonders on jeans with grass stains!

Two other common types of stains are chocolate and ice cream, especially in carpeted kitchens, dining rooms, and family rooms. To remove carpet stains such as these, start by scraping off any excess stain. Sometimes, chocolate and ice cream will dry, leaving behind a raised residue. You want to get this off first before working on the stain underneath. Next, make a mixture of one-teaspoon dishwashing soap and one cup of warm water.

Take a clean, white towel and moisten it with the detergent mixture. Apply to the stain and blot (do not rub) to remove as much of the stain as possible. More than likely, you will need to repeat the cleaning process several times to get the stain up so be patient. Once you find that no more chocolate or ice cream transfers to the cloth rinse the area with clean water, again blotting to get up any leftover moisture

Try "Incredible" from Bed Bath and Beyond. It got up my sons strawberry milk puddle on my white carpet.

I'll have look some of these suggestions up. My daughter has spilled chocolate milk in so many spots on my carpet. I'm to the point that I hate carpet.
