Hot Tub Time & Running through WDW: Jan 2025 Trip Report (Completed)

We went back to the expo and we will be able to get the Dopey hoodie from a wonderful disboard member. Yeah!


Then I noticed runninginmakeup a YouTuber i watch.

We now can just walk into the building and get our bibs! No huge lines!!
Soo nice to wait.
When I got my bib I also got this special luggage tag for Goofy challenge.

Then they have characters for us to meet.
The line for Goofy is not bad so we go into that line.

That is when we see Manny, again another YouTuber I watch.

Next we head out and see the special running beer cups. They have a pineapple Cider that is really good.



Then I see another a person I follow on Instagram.


Then we go to the last building to pick up shirts. They have a cute photo spot.


We get all the things done.

Head pack to the cabin.
I do my flat lay for the 5k.

We get an early dinner from Geyser Point Bar & Grill. We do mobile order. It is easy to walk and pick up and bring back to the room.
I got the Charcuterie Flatbread:
Salami, Brisket, Chorizo, Bacon, Smoked Gouda Beer Cheese.

This flatbread is sooo good!!! I would get this all the time. Very worth the price at 17.
I also got the Macaroni & "Cheese" Bites (Plant-based), “Cheezy” Bites, Tomato, and Peppers... these were just okay... I would skip these and just eat the ones at Wine Bar George.

My husband got the burger this place in know for...Bison Cheeseburger Bacon, Sweet Crispy Onion Straws, Marionberry Sauce and Garlic Aïoli

My husband loved it.

My my mom got these;
Handcrafted Crab Cake
Spicy Slaw, Crispy Onions, Miso Tartar

She thought they were pretty good.

And the Edamame with Chili-Salt.

She said they were good and had a nice kick too it.

My dad got the ribs... not as great he said.


Also order the house mad chips... these are good!! Very worth it.


After dinner my son opened up a couple birthday present we brought with us. My son loved them

Here is the dessert mix we ordered from Deliada Home Bakery where they deliver u dessert to the resort.

This is my Dopey themed and 40 birthday themed mix.
Super cute and they tasted soo yummy.
I mean look at this cookie!!

We have a little dessert after dinner.


Then it is time for bed... I am going to bed around 7ish... soo early because we have to wake up early for the 5k. Waking up at 2:30 am for the bus that leaves at 3am!!

Soo bed time for me!

Jan 9th
We woke up early... like 2:15 am!?
Yep...
We changed and ate breakfast.
We left for the bus. We made it on the first bus yeah! 3am bus.

I have my throw away robe on... so my look is pretty funny.

We make it to Epcot.

They have a whole stage set up.

I see the Slackers... another one of my fav youtubers and took a pic with them.

They have characters for us to meet before the run.
We took a pic with Big Bad Wolf... talk about old rare character!


Then we go wait in corrals. It is cold but that is what all the layers are for... mids 30s.


And they have us slowly move up to the starting block after a bit of waiting.

They do fireworks too with the start!



And then we begin our run!

We past a long line with mickey and minnie... I forgot to take a pic. Me and mom passed by it since it was soo long.

Then we made it to Pinocchio.
The lines are long but move faster than a normal character lines. People are soo good in rundisney... take a pic and move.

I really wanted this pic soo I run with my mom for like 1 min longer to get the photographer pics and then I go back to wait in line for them.

I'm enjoying your TR, as someone who is rundisney curious. 46 miles of running and rising atc2 am to do so boggles my mind. Your outfits are super cute. I would be stopping for photos wherever I could, simply to catch my breath.

My friend who's done several marathon events with her daughter is a merch freak. She's bought D&B rundisney bags, sneakers, tons of clothing and all the extras. They must make money hand over fist from runners. It was kind of the person to sell you the shirt you wanted.

Happy birthday to you and your son. He's a cutie! I love the good times he's having with your husband and father.

Your accommodations are wild. I could live there for the rest of my life!

Thank u for saying our outfits are cute. My mom is Elsa themed and I am Sven themed from Frozen.

So if u ever want to try running, I do what rundisney promotes called run/walk/run. Jeff Galloway is the person who started it and he partners with rundisney. Where u take 30 sec walking breaks and then run anywhere from 15 sec to 5 mins... just depends on your speed. I hated running my whole life and this technique is what made running great for me. And what is crazy about this running method is u actually runner faster then running strait the whole time. Here is his website if your curious.

But yeah disney makes sooo much money for us runners we crazy I have no spending budget when it comes to rundisney.

Done with the 5k!!

We did the I did it photos!

I was soo happy to do race with my mom even if was a little chilly... like mid 30s.
This is what u get in rundisney snack box.

We wait for a bus... and then get on a bus and head back to our warm cabin...
When we came back... it tried to turn on the heat on the fire place... umm... where is the heat... bah... no heat! Soo that sucks... I understand most of the time in Florida u don't want heat but is legit cold right now...

My husband still asleep but the rest of the family is up.

My son wanted pics with my medal.

More medals pics.

Next I decided to try more of our desserts we ordered... chocolate strawberries!


Soo good!! This bakery keeps hitting out of the park.

And after a run and being in the cold ... I decided it was hot tub time!!! (This will be a theme lol)

So I change into bathing suit and go into our private hot tub. Best thing ever... I did not need to walk far in the cold to get to it which is a plus in the cold.

We see can see the boats go by!

I stayed here and warmed up after the run and relaxed... soo worth it.

Next husband wakes up soo time to clean up and go to HS.
My family looves star wars.


I love all the xmas decorations.



We das rise of the resistance and then try star wars tours first and it says it short line but it is soo long it stretching outside... so we skip it to come back.

We see Mando.


We see them filming going on.

We then go into Millennium Falcon ride.

We make it in.



This is always fun flying it..my son loves shooting everything. We then head out and shop a little.

Then we see Mando again.
Still no pic with him though... maybe one day. We will get a pic with him.

The Storm trooper room I love it. But there was a line. Hmm... never had a line... here.




We finally make it into the next room and ee get told the ride is down....so we get escorted out a back entrance. They do tell us we all get lightening lane pass to come back in, so that is nice. But man it is ruff trying to keep my son from melting down... we had to promise the moment it opens back up we will go back on it because as he told us many times it is his favorite ride of all times.


Well it is time for lunch... and we are just wanting quick food with indoor seating since it is cold out. So we went to Backlot express.
Mom and me get this:
Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Burger
1/3 Angus Beef Burger topped with Slow-smoked Pulled Pork, American Cheese, Coleslaw, Crispy Onions, and House-made Sweet-and-Tangy Barbecue Sauce served with choice of Side

Now this tasted pretty good but it was weird... Pork onto of a beef pattie... is strange. Still not sure how we feel about this sandwich...

Husband got this: Cuban Sandwich
Classically-pressed Roasted Pulled Pork, Sliced Ham, Swiss, Pickles, and Mustard served with Plantain Chips
He liked it. Said it was sold quick service sandwich.


My son got the chicken fingers.


My drink was nice: Rum Island Breeze
Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Bacardí Superior Rum, Pineapple Juice, Minute Maid® Premium Lemonade, and Grenadine


But the real star and why I wanted to try this place.. well other than it is close rise and had indoor seating. The Wookiee Cookie
Two Oatmeal Cookies with Vanilla Cream Filling garnished with a Milk Chocolate Sash on top

This is soo good!! Very shareable. Very worth it. This cookie is delicious and we all loved that cream filling.

Next we head to Star tours right next us.



We love this ride and how it is different everyone time. Not the spy sadly though.

We got out and guess what I realized I left... my bag! So I go back and find a cm. They told me no worries this happens all the time. I wait and they go get my bag and they got it, yeah!!

While I was waiting my husband and my son were looking at the star wars merch.

Next we notice that Rise is open again!! Soo we head over. No pics this time around... we got in real quick since it just opened.

Yeah, son is soo happy. He also bought a toy at one of the vendors outside rise.

Next we das mickeys ride. We love it.





And time to dance!

My son said he was ready to leave now. He has gotten soo much better at noticing now when he has reached his limit. So I ask if we can do a couple of medal pics on the way and he was cool with it. Yeah. So we had out and I find a photopass photographer with a short line.

I love this pic... did not realize they were getting balloons in the background!


I love them having magic shots for runners.

Then I did another one to get the other side look.



And son pic... my mom did not want to join.


And next we head on to our bus.
My son opened up his new toy while we wait.


The bus came pretty quick. It was very easy to get on the bus and walk back to our Cabin.

After we head back to the Cabin... guess what time it is again?

Hot tub time!!!

I make a drink and relax.

After a bit of relaxing... I sadly had to get out and get ready for the next run.
I do my flat lay.

My 10k outfit is Bloofy and Pouchy from Inside Out 2.


We decided tonight to all get the Bison burger from Geyser Point. It is really that good. Yummy


Then next birthday cake time!
Again this cake was made from our same baker.
She did such a great time.


My son looved his cake.



We sang happy birthday and blew out the candles. The baker even remembered to pack candle and matches for us! Soo nice. The cake was very good. We all loved it.


Now it is time for bed! I have to go to bed soo early...
