Hoka's .. yes or no?

I really like some on clouds. It really depends on the use and a person’s feet. Hokas are generally very plush whereas on clouds are not, but they are lighter and feel more responsive.
I agree with this - I've bought On's, too! I prefer Hoka's, but it's just a preference.

Please try them on and compare them against other premium high cushion options before buying. A true running shop should be able to fit you…even if it’s not for running.

I had a pair of Bondi’s but I really didn’t like them. They ran a bit wide (I am NOT a narrow foot) and the rocker design takes a lot of getting used to if you wear them on stairs. I also didn’t find the cushioning to be any better than my normal high cushioning jogger (Brooks Glycerin). In fact, I think my Glycerins are better. I haven’t tried the Glycerin Max or Ghost Max from Brooks, but I know several people that ditched Hoka for them.

I also tried Hoka Cliftons. I liked them a lot better than the Bondi, but they still were wider than I’d like in the toe box and the cushioning still didn’t meet expectations.

This was the shoe my husband wore exclusively for years. Relieved his plantar fasciitis. He recently switched to On Clouds, but wears both.

I have two pair of Bondi 8s that I use when umpiring softball, a mesh upper pair for when I'm on turf and a leather like upper Slip Resistant pair for when I'm on dirt. I'll be buying a pair of the Bondi 9s before Memorial Day to replace my 8s. I've worn them for a tournament in Viera where I did over 70 miles in 3.5 days and then immediately followed it up with another 60 miles over 3 days at WDW.

I bought some a month ago and they are OK. I prefer my Sketchers. And wish I bought On Cloud instead.
The Skechers cushioning breaks down too quickly for me. I do have a pair of slip ins that I wear at home or when I'm going to be out of my shoes quickly, like when I go to hockey. I tried On Clouds but they felt too stiff on my feet, I felt like I could feel the sole in the bottom of the feet, not something I want if I'm going to put 20+ miles on them in a day. I've also heard of people having issues if they are heavier, I'm over 200lbs.

I love my Hokas. I have worn New Balance for years, but I had heard a lot of good things about Hokas. I tried them one day when I was at Nordstroms and fell in love with them. Bought a second pair barely a month later. I do wish they would hold up a bit longer. My second pair has the treads on the bottom really starting to wear down after only 3 months.

I have a pair of the On Cloud- Cloud monsters. They are comfortable and I do like them. I do find though that I have to go up a 1/2 size on them

Years ago the only shoe I could wear was a Nike Air Moto but then they were discontinued. after a couple of years of just trying shoes willie nillie I finally went to a running store. They got me hooked on Glycerins. Great shoe
