Gymboree returns?

I purchased a winter jacket for my son a few months ago from Gymboree.com and he loves it. I washed it today for the first time and followed the washing instructions... and the seams came completely apart! I cannot find the receipt- does anyone know the policy for exchanges / returns of defective merchandise? I have been a loyal customer for many years- but never had any problems... I checked the website, but it didn't say anything about returning something after a few months... any info would be helpful!

It is my understanding that Gymboree will issue a full refund for any defective merchandise with or without a receipt regardless of how long ago you bought it. I would call your store manager and explain the situation & see what they say. Or you can call the 1-800 customer service number and they will help you. You should have no problem returning the coat for a full refund.

Unfortunately if you do not have the receipt they do not have to give you the full retail price.
The policy is 6 months. if you have defective item and it's after the 6 months and you have the receipt (you would be surprised at how many save receipts that long) they give you what you paid, BUT without a receipt they can give you what it is selling for..For example, how do they know if someone paid full price? it could of been bought during one of their sales. Sorry..I know it Stinks. do you know if they still have the coat? maybe they can do an exchange.

We bought Capri's there last year for DD. I had the receipt and it was over 6 months and the manager told me tough!

The capri's shrunk beyond belief. And I washed them just as stated. All the employees know me since its the only Gymboree around and I shop there often.

It ticked me off. I have a $131.00 credit from other stuff and haven't been back. For how much you pay for their clothes, they should back them a little better.

I got dd a pair of white sandels there a few years ago... the sole and shoe were coming apart at the toe of the shoe after just about 3-4 weeks. i wasn't able to find the receite but i had my CC statment that had the Gymbo purchase on it they exchanged them for me ... i dont' shop there to often it's just to pricey i'll usally get some off ebay once in a while or shop off seasons for clearance stuff but these i did pay full price for so i was VERY glad they took them back.

If you don't have the receipt, you will get the current selling price or they will exchange it if they still have one like it at the store...I bought a pair of pants for dd, and she insisted on wearing it one day before I even washed it..so I cut off the tag and let her wear it and after we came back from lunch, she told me there was a hole around the crotch area..and a pretty big one as well!
