Groupon Getaways

Can you tell me if you think Groupon offer good deals on their getaways?

I am still looking at options for our getaway in Feb and found
several I thought might be an option, but I have no clue if they are decent places to stay or if there was something I was missing.

I have used Groupon for Chicago hotels several times and have always gotten a good deal. I can't see your link for some reason but I would recommend researching it on Tripadvisor. There was just a story on 20/20 about how some hotels are offering the same room but advertising it as a deluxe room.

Everytime I think I am going to buy a groupon getaway, I find I can get a better rate going through the hotels site. I would try to book with the hotel directly first and see if you can get a better deal.

I did price it out seperately.........airfare would be just over 800 and the hotel was 246 a night. It priced out much higher seperately.....

I have not taken the plunge, but I know of three separate people that have done this and all have been extremely pleased! They have done different locations in all-inclusive resorts and have gotten really good deals.

I think that as long as you do your homework it can be an awesome deal!

This is how I got the idea for our trip. I am looking for either late jan early fen and haven't ruled out Mexico completely. The groupon deals look great though. Just check the reviews and fine print before clicking buy.

Have you tried directly through Vacation Express? That's who it is through. I've had great experiences with them and booking directly through them you can add transportation to and from resort. One word of advice though is when you get there they will tell you the next morning you need to be in the lobby for information but you don't need to go. It's just a way for them to sell excursions.

I did a Groupon adventure purchase just this morning for a present. It was for a helicopter tour. I checked the Groupon price, went to the website of the tour company, then I checked Yelp.

It all lined up to equal a deal on a well-known company so I bought it. Yay!
