GOTG Virtual Queue

Please help - do we need Epcot theme park reservation to get virtual queue for 7am if possible

We have Annual Passes and park reservations set up already, not all days for Epcot though

Thanks, I guess it is safe to assume that through Christmas holidays none of those days will be Good to Go? I should change reservation to Epcot if we want to try for GOTG?

Yes but the challenge during busier times like Christmas is ensuring you can swap your reservation back to your original park if that is your intention. When available, an AP can book Epcot, obtain a VQ and then change their park reservation back to the park they wish to start at. The challenge is, it’s not always possible to do this during times when AP reservations are filling to capacity.

Note, a GotG VQ can be used from the time it is called until park close. Once it is called, you do not need to return in your window.

If you don’t have an Epcot reservation so you aren’t able to get in 7 am VQ, you can try for 1 pm VQ but you have to tap into Epcot before 1pm. The virtual queue is in MDE . Hit the hamburger looking far right button on bottom. Then scroll down to virtual queue. Hit that. You pick which one you want to join then you select your group. Wait for the drop time, start refreshing a little bit before the time. Then hit join virtual queue button when it appears.

Good to Go days are listed on the reservation calendar. I doubt there are many good to go days left this year, but haven't checked.

If it helps, I was there in March of this year the week before Easter and was able to switch park reservations for 5 of us back to HS from EP after we got a VQ spot. Like a PP said, there's no guarantee you'll be able to do it, but it is possible.

I was unaware you could change park reservations the day of your park visit. Thanks everyone for bringing this to light!
