Hello!

My family and I are going to "home" to WDW this June! Of the 14 of us, 1 of us is gluten-free (Celiac’s) and 1 of us is vegetarian. We can make our dining reservations in April. Which restaurants do you recommend for having both gluten-free and vegetarian options? 😋

Most Disney owned and operated restaurants will easily have at least one gluten free offering and one vegetarian offering. Table service restaurants are particularly easy. Disney is used to catering to these allergies.

If you are looking for items that are both gluten free and vegetarian, then it will take a bit more research. Looking at menus and contacting the Disney Special Dietary team might be worth it.

Disneyworld is the best place we have ever been for gluten free. There is so much choice and the chefs are very tentative, so your coeliac can enjoy their break with confidence of not becoming ill.

Our favourites are:
Beaches and Cream
Polite Pig
Regal Eagle Smokehouse
Yak and Yeti
Any hotel quick service (particularly Primo Piatto at Riviera, Gasparilla at Grand Floridian, Sassagoula Floats at POFQ).
Pinocchio's
Woody's Lunch Box
Connections
Ohana's

We're also trying for the first time Roundup Rodeo BBQ and Roaring Fork at Wilderness Lodge.

I'm neither gluten-free nor vegetarian but I do love food and follow both Gluten Free & Dairy Free at WDW as well as Princess and the Bear (she's vegetarian, he's not) on YouTube and socials and find them both to be great resources (I have no affiliation with either - just a fan). They probably have a video or post on any restaurant you're considering. As others have said, all Disney restaurants do work hard to accommodate special diets.

Princess is vegan and the bear is not and they have a great channel for mixed diet families. Melissa at Vegan Disney World also has a website and YouTube and offers tons of info.

Your your family member should have little issue in any Disney owned restaurant. Your vegetarian will find at least one plant based option on most menus as well. As a vegetarian, that person may also find multiple options or apps that Melissa and Princess don’t focus on as the options aren’t not vegan.

I have celiacs and have been a vegetarian for 35 years. Not a huge deal at Disney. Make sure they know how to access menus and ask them to select a few places that look especially appealing to their diets.

I’m vegetarian and gluten-free! We eat at ale and compass (Disney’s yacht club resort), Cape May, beaches and cream, Boma, Sanaa, and Liberty Tree Tavern. One of the things I love most at the parks. Is there gluten-free dinner roll, it taste great and helps me feel like I’m not left out and having something “lesser” if that makes sense. Also, in several of the restaurants, Cape May, and Boma in particular, I was able to ask the server if they had any kind of plant based meat and they were able to offer it to me, but I’m not sure if it was strictly gluten-free (I have an intolerance, but not fully celiac). It never hurts to ask the server what they might be able to conjure up for you, I actually got something very helpful and not fully on the menu at several restaurants. But it’s probably safer to check out the menus in advance (online ) to see what they have. I do think if you have a plan to go to a certain park, it’s not a bad idea to plan out your day around at least one of your meals and scope out the menu online in advance.

If you go to Disney Springs, Raglan Road for the celiac friendly onion rings. They have fish options that are vegan. Plenty of GF options. Worth it just for the onion rings.

Does the vegetarian eat fish? If so lots of more options become available. WDW is a great place to eat if you are a strict vegetarian.
