Garden Rocks at the Garden Grill

We just got a reservation for the Garden Grill for the ‘Rocks series. I knew in advance it’s a character experience; while I’ve wanted to dine there because I’ve read the food is really good, I’m not that much of a fan of meeting the characters during my meal. (You’ll find my picture in the encyclopedia under “extreme introvert.”)

I’m thinking when we check in I’ll mention that we don’t particularly need to have the character experience, hoping they’ll honor that?

I’m a little gun shy with this as we went to Akershus and were told we wouldn’t be seated in the fray; to my chagrin, we were smack center of the activities. We were (of course) polite to the cast members-not their fault- but it was very uncomfortable.

I’m wondering if people have opted out of interactions with the cast successfully?

Many times if you wave at them and say something like "thanks for having us, see you later!" they will also get the hint, but you can tell your server as well and they might be able to get the message to the character greeters.....

and there's not really an "in the fray" for the GG, they are all spaced out evenly, so no worries about the placement of the table, they are all "just as open" as the others in regards to character activities...
