In the end of the Hunchback of Notre Dame just when Frollo is about to kill Quasi and Esmeralda the stone gargoyle he's standing on comes to life and drops him into a pool of molten iron (ouch)
. It's a great death for an awesome villain but it's never made sense to me. Was Frollo hallucinating or did the gargoyle really come to life? The only statues that showed any signs of life before that were Victor, Hugo, and Laverne and I always thought they were imaginary freinds of Quasi. But Frollo didn;t seem crazy to me so I've always wondered if it was real or in Frollo's head.
Any ideas?
