Can anyone point me towards an exercise or weight training routine that will help with these horrible bat wings of mine? Anything on YouTube?

I am looking for something that blew you away with results and personal stories of how you can really see a difference.

I am getting frustrated here. The flab is out of control:faint:

Look for videos that show you tricep extensions. That will help. Your basic pushup also works. However, nothing is going to be a quick fix. You can improve it, for sure, but it takes effort over time.

Good luck!

Have you lost all the weight you can and are still left with them? If you haven't lost the weight then nothing will really help.

If the weight has been lost then you'd want to do tons of triceps exercises as well as other arm exercises that focus on the shoulder and other muscles in the upper arm. Unfortunately, they may be there permanently if the weight has damaged the skin or your are older.

I'd be happy just to see an improvement. I had bariatric surgery a couple of years ago and have lost 100 pounds. Although I never had bat wings before the surgery, I sure do now. My daughter is getting married in June and I'd like to wear a short-sleeved or sleeveless dress, but MY ARMS!! If I can find effective exercises, that'd be great!!

Triceps extensions with weights. You need to be lifting weights to tone up that trouble spot. Also pushups help!

And congrats on your weight loss!

As well as exercises, I would also add some collagen powder to your diet (I put a teaspoon in the protein shake I have for breakfast) and get a firming body oil (I use a great one made by Nivea which I presume is available in the States). I have some loose skin on my stomach from weight loss and it’s definitely helping!

OP, as others have asked, are these "bat wings" due to massive weight loss and having extra skin, or are they due to being overweight?

If it's the former, there's not a ton you can do besides plastic surgery. You could do some tricep work and fill it in some but it likely won't go completely away. Depending on your age and some other factors, your skin may have some elasticity and some of it could shrink over time.

If it's due to being overweight, it does not work that way where you just "target" or "tone" your arms...or abs...or whatever. You work on your overall health and you'll loose fat wherever your body is storing it. Find a good basic solid nutrition plan. It should include the proper balance of protein, carbs and fats. Stay away from the "fad" diets. Carbs and fats are not evil, in fact your body needs them. Just eat them in moderation and eat the right ones. As for exercise, tons of good programs out there. Doing all cardio is not the way to go...at all. Find a good weight training program, and you can add some cardio in. For a beginner, I think a simple 5x5 routine is a great way to start. Just Google "5x5 workout" and you'll get bombarded with ideas.

OMG, you lost a grown human! Congrats, congrats, congrats! W000t! Buy whatever you want for the wedding and ROCK it! Have a great time.

AMAZING weight loss! But yes, it does make the arms appear flabbier. But well worth it for you. 100 pounds is so great!

Like klayfish said you can’t spot reduce. Weight training can help appearance somewhat but unfortunately if you have bat wings you have bat wings. The only thing that will get rid of them is surgery.

That's what I thought too. As others have said, SLEEVES are great (tough to find sometimes). I don't have batwings and my arms are okay but certainly not toned. It's rare I'll go anywhere nice without sleeves. I just don't think it's my best look.

Genetics suck, lol. I had bat wings even as a firm, 20 something gym rat. I wear half sleeves when I can but in the summer in Vegas comfort always wins. I’ve learned not to care so much. It is what it is.

Yeah, fortunately (or unfortunately) I do not live in Vegas. In Orlando last summer, it was sleeveless all the way! But if, say, I was going somewhere formal, I'd do my best to find a sleeve. It's just my own "thing" with how I want to look and I think I look way more pulled together when I can hide my flaws.
