Filet Mignon, Any special recipe suggestions?

wow - I just picked some up last weekend for $15.99 per pound.
I actually seared them on cast iron then cooked for 10 min or so and covered them with carmalized onions and mushrooms

YUM

Rub it with a fresh garlic clove, salt, pepper

Brush those suckers with melted butter once they are done.

For the sake of all that is holy, don't overcook.

YES! Butter makes the filet taste even better. :thumbsup2

I don't have any recipes to add, just wanted to say the title made me think of Mad Men Season 1 when Pete was asked by his new wife what he wanted for dinner that night.

"Ribeye, in the pan, with butter".

That is essentially what I did, after marinating them. They really need "something more". Filet is my favorite cut of meat at around $5. per pound or less, otherwise, it is RIBEYE all the way. The best steak for me is Costco's prime rib eye at $10.99 per pound. Worth every penny. We had company two weeks ago and this particular couple is still talking about how good those steaks were. No special prep; Montreal Steak Seasoning and the grill.
