I'm thinking mostly chains, since more people will know them, but really, whatever works for you.

Gino's Hamburgers.... later became KFC... at least in the Philly area.

Lum's.... not sure how many there were, but a semi - seafood place. I don't recall it being especially good, but I remember going there a lot with my family when I was 7 - 10 years old.

Dutch Pantry.... Some Amish food, some not.... but my mom used to bring home Apple Fritters from work all the time.

Years ago we had "Mr Beef" restaurants. Wonderful. I do not know if they were a chain or not. When Arby's came along, Mr. Beef closed down.

Mmmmmm.... we used to LOVE Gino's burgers!!!

For me, it's the Hungry Pilgrim. It was a small restaurant in the Plymouth Meeting Mall. In high school my BF and I used to go there every Friday night for their pizza soup and steak fries... we were just reminicing the other day.

As for chains :scratchin ... I can't think of any right now although I was royally PO'd when TGIFriday's took their poppers and fried chicken salad off the menu :headache:

I used to work there.... well, the original one that was about a mile from that one. The pizza soup was my favorite!

Not a favorite of mine, but my kids are going to miss Snackville Junction - Chow on the Choo Choo. It just closed after sixty years.

We used to have an awesome pizza and ice cream parlor....that just disappeared one day. The whole dang building was there one week, gone the next. Strange. :confused3

I miss Godfather's pizza...used to go there all the time in high school.

There used to be a Big Barry's here on L.I. It was a themed restaurant (wetern) before they became popular. Tuesday was always wing night at 10 cents each. They had the best wings!

The menu was on an gold mine panning dish. Pretty cool restaurant and missed.

NO WAY!!!! I did not even realize there was another location. I would kill for that Pizza Soup recipe :thumbsup2

We had a Lums not far from us. Don't know if was the same chain or not, this was in Mass. I don't even know if they had seafood because their hotdogs were so good! They boiled them in beer I believe. Best dogs I've ever had!

Godfather's pizza still exists in some places. We had one in Missouri.

I love Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips. I did see it in Florida!

That's the place...

I miss Pizzaria Uno's!!! Pretty much everywhere else around has NY style pizza, and while I love that, I also liked getting the occassional Chicago style from Uno's.

Lots of them in the Philly area, still.

Last time I was in Philly, I got a NY Style from someplace downtown. Can't think of the name of it, but it was REALLY good.

ETA....Just remembered...it was called NYPD Pizza.:thumbsup2

The only Uno's I knew of were a couple around here and one in Cincy, all of which are out of business.

We have one about 15 min up the road in Exton, PA. MMmmmmm!

I miss Tomkats. :( They really should have paid their taxes.
