What are yours?

Two words, my friend. Douglas Adams. (Please note, this is the guy who put five books in his trilogy.)

"In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has made a lot people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move."

"The ships hung in the sky much in the same way as bricks don't."

"Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws."

"The knack of flying is learning how to hurl yourself at the ground...and miss."

"I love deadlines. I love the whooshing sound they make as they fly by."

"It's not the fall that kills you- it's the sudden stop at the end."

And this particular one just made me crack up...
"One of the things Ford Prefect had always found hardest to understand about humans was their habit of continually stating and repeating the very very obvious, as It's a nice day, or You're very tall, or Oh dear you seem to have fallen down a thirty-foot well, are you all right? At first Ford had formed a theory to account for this strange behavior. If human beings don't keep exercising their lips, he thought, their mouths probably seize up. After a few months' consideration and observation he abandoned this theory in favor of a new one. If they don't keep on exercising their lips, he thought, their brains start working."

:confused3 Maybe it's just me, but I think these things are hilarious. I need to find a copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

"RELOAD" -Just about every light gun game in existance
That's about all I can think of right now, mostly because it's so obvious. The game yells "RELOAD" at you, and usually before it can say "RE" you've already reloaded and blasted all the enemies on screen.

Seriously though, there have never been truer words spoken

There is always darkness before the dawn.

This motif has been used in almost every piece of fiction and entertainment (t.v. video games, books, movies) that I have ever seen or read.
