DH's company Christmas Party, there will be people really dressed up at the party. for me...

Little black dress

now

black nylons and black strapy sandals

black nylons and gold sandals

well shaved and lotioned legs and sandals (which color?)

Am concerned about the look of sandals and nylons, hate the toe look and black legs with a nude toe would be even worse if you ask me.

I also have a pair of conservative black pumps I could wear with the black nylons, but they aren't as much fun or as high of a heel.

Never wear hose with sandals, ever.

If I were you, I'd go out and buy a pair of dressy heels that aren't sandals. DSW or someplave like that has some great styles in the $30 range, buy classic and you can wear them again forever.

With them I'd wear the sheerest nude hose you can find.

If that's not an option, then go with well shaved and lightly oiled legs and the black sandals.

I have to agree with the others! No hose and strappy sandals! Gold might be fun because it's not something most people wear every day. Have fun!

Bare legs, Gold Shoes
Add some gold bracelets and gold earrings or long layered gold necklaces
This should help you stand out from what may be a lot of black dresses, and will add some festivity to your look without going the red/green route.

I wouldn't wear stockings with sandals either. BUT, in this weather (I am in the midwest and it is COLD) I would wear pumps of some kind.

I still vote for the gold sandals. I live in Indy, and we had snow last weekend. But, most places will have their parking lots scraped, and once you get inside, you will be warm. We had our work christmas party last weekend, and I wore gold sandals. Were my feet cold for the few minutes while I was ouside? Yes. But once I was in the restaurant, my feet were fine and it really pulled my outfit together.

Oh shoot, I live in Ohio and I still wear sandals/strappy heels all year round w/o hose. In fact for Christmas night (midnight mass) I plan to wear a black, silver & blue patterned dress with strappy little heels. No hose. We have snow on the ground and have for weeks now

I would still vote NO HOSE and either silver or black strappy heels. I'd only do silver if I had matching jewelry and maybe a matching wrap. For my little black dress I just go all black (wrap & heels) no hose though.
