Fall harvest Thanksgiving Disneyland hotel.

Getting some work done and occasionally refreshing the site. If times aren't loaded by the time I finish, I'll call when the lines open up at 7.

Thanksgiving's still on a Thursday right..... lol I keep double checking my settings and filters to make sure I catch it if it comes on line, 11/24 - lunch, dinner, lunch, dinner. Their phones are going to be busy at 7. Kind of reminds me of the good old days when you had to call 180 days out for princess breakfast in the castle at WDW. I always got lucky but it was those were very stressful days.

This feels a little like the ADR threads over at the WDW forums. Especially when the site infamously glitches when ADR windows open up. We generally have it so easy making dining reservations at Disneyland. But this one time of year (!) ... let's just say is special.

I wouldn't mind this soooo much if the CMs on the Dine Line, several calls and several CMs, hadn't been so adamant about the inventory opening online at 3am. This makes me wonder if there will be any seating open at 7am. Wouldn't be surprised to hear that the books still aren't open and no one knows why. Getting grumpy here.

Seriously! Three CMs told me Tuesday at 3 AM. Someone dropped the ball. I'm wondering if reservations are available yet on their internal system, but haven't been loaded onto the website so I'll be calling at 7.

And still not a peep about Thanksgiving dining options on the Disney Parks Blog, although I'm not surprised since they have a history of posting once reservations for all the restaurants are live (and popular dining times for many restaurants are already unavailable).

Good idea. Just grabbed S55 as a back up. Not my first choice, but better than nothing at all.

After a horrendous S55 experience for my anniversary I'll never go back. The quality of service and food has tanked and I was so upset because it used to be our favorite

I grabbed a backup reservation at Carnation Cafe for 6:30 pm. I see now that the only other times for our party size before and after are at 4:20 pm and 7:30 pm.

@Astylla, I don't think you'll miss out on the feast if you book on the day reservations are released. You just might not get the time you want. Even then if you book in the first few hours, you should get a close enough time. We've always been able to get one of the latest dining times (we like our Thanksgiving dinner). The ballroom is huge!

Yeah I'm an over planner haha ! We did it last year and it was amazing , and we are only two people so flexible on time though we prefer the first seating or close to it as possible. But i'm always prepared just in case

Our experiences haven't been that bad, thankfully, although I agree that S55 isn't what it used to be and that it needs some work on the dinner end (breakfast is fine). I don't intend to keep this reservation if at all possible. It was the only one late enough to guarantee that we will be able to keep it, even if family plans run later than expected.

@Astylla, I have to imagine the first or very early seating must run a lot more smoothly. You might've read my post last year about our terrible wait two years ago when we had a late seating. I just think the house gets backed up throughout the afternoon. Unfortunately, we can't handle such a large meal so early in the day; and like I said, we like our Thanksgiving meal at dinner.

Yeah we just don't eat from about 8pm on anyway so by the time noon comes around we are ready lol ! I've worked banquets at large scale before and it's easy to get backed up because people linger and you can't really push people out.
As we were leaving around 1:30pm we noticed it much more chaotic but it's the nature of the beast.

ETA: Works when I type in "2" as my party size (not my party size). I guess they're slowly adding in inventory.

Try booking for 2 then go into My reservations and hit CHANGE - sometimes it works !
