Hello all: New here and awaiting ROFR on my first DVC contract!!! I’m wondering, do DVC resort guests qualify for extended evening theme park hours, or only those paying cash for Deluxe Villa rooms? TIA

That's a perk that is open to EVERYONE staying at either a Deluxe Resort or Deluxe Villa (aka DVC Resort). It has noting to do with being a DVC Member.

I would add, that the lines are very short during those 2 hours. At MK, once one hour had passed almost everything was <10 minutes and 7DMR was about 25 minutes in Jan. At Epcot, after 30 minutes everything was walk on. GotG has a dedicated BG drop at 6PM and I think everyone who tried got in. Way shorter lines than MM, or the ticketed events.

Just wondering, do you have to be staying at the resort to get the EMH? We’re heading to WDW in April and we will be DVC members but staying at Pop as we’ve only just bought 😊

It’s not really a DVC benefit - Evening Extended Hours are open to all guests staying at a deluxe WDW resort - and all DVC resorts are considered deluxe…

Congratulations on becoming DVC! Yes, you have to be staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort or Villa to be eligible. Some visitors will do split stays with either check-in or check-out on the night of an extended evening hours day to be able to get those privileges. As someone mentioned above, it is not tied to DVC membership whatsoever.

Thank you so much for your help :-)

They do. I imagine Drury Plaza will also be added if it hasn't already.
The Drury Plaza is eligible for early entry, but not extended evenings. The Swan/Dolphin & Shades of Green are the only non Disney operated hotels eligible for extended evenings.

Interesting, I wonder why Disney chose to make that distinction for the Drury, but good to know!

I could be wrong, but I thought this was the case for all the good neighbor hotels out by Disney Springs, not just Drury. They offer a few perks for those hotels, but not all.

As with most things I assume it's down to what the hotels were willing to pay for the access. Everything comes at a cost $$

I don't think it's a money thing. The Swalphin has a special agreement of being treated like onsite hotels. This goes back to before construction. I don't know the full story, maybe someone can add more info.
And Shades of Green is a special case because of Disney support of the military. No other third party hotel is included, I don't think they've asked any third party if they wanted in. Maybe they will as a way to share costs, but currently it's one of the few remaining perks for Disney only hotels and it's possibly the major one. They might want to keep it that way (I hope so, it's so effective because it's also very limited).

I thought it was a DVC Member Extended magical hours. I was going to ask if you have two membership numbers, would I have the ability to bring all my guests (9) at once on August 2?

Are you referring to the Moonlight Magic event for those who are eligible for membership extras? That is a special event which allows you to book based on your membership reservation up to guests in the room. If not. It’s DVC and up 5 guests.

I have never seen someone be able to get tickets on two memberships, even when they are the owner.

But, this thread is about the extended evening hours that WDW offers to all deluxe and deluxe Villa guests. Because DVC resorts are in this category, those using their DVC are eligible,
