If I get drive-through and order more than one drink, they always put the drinks in one of those corrugated cardboard trays and hand them to me that way.
Then, I take each drink out of the tray, put them in my car cup-holders and hand the cardboard tray back to them.
I guess I'm supposed to keep the cardboard tray and toss it in the trash, but it bugs me. It seems so wasteful to use that thing for nothing more than to hand the drinks through the window, then toss it.
I know there's a lot of waste in fast food - wrappers, bags, etc, but the rest of it is kind of necessary. They don't really need these drink trays, they could hold two cokes in their two hands and hand them to me just as easily, and three or four cokes would only take one more reach out the window.
Does this bug anyone else, or am I just nuts?
