Resort Thread Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB Resorts

True but I really think the construction concerns are overboard. You told me when I was booking if you like the area stay where you like.
Yes but you seem to take it more in stride and other guests are not as flexible when they see or hear construction.

Yikes I just saw the post from @mrsap of the latest pictures from WDW News Today and the scaffolding all up the side where 5148 thru 5163 (CL room with no balcony) and 5143 thru 5157 (Turret Suite) should be getting scaffolding.

ETA: still learning to use spacing correctly...

Yes that funny where the scaffolding is by the side of the YC 5th floor that where my room is.

If I book water view, full balcony would be my only request. None of those rooms overlook SAB, according to touring plans.

If I book resort view, I’d request full balcony, not overlooking SAB.
There are a few rooms on the 4th floor and the 5th floor (club level) that overlook SAB according to these old room maps.

I'm sorry that the images are clearer. It is the best I can do.

Last night when we returned to BC around midnight neither of our rooms had much water. None for the shower, and just a tiny trickle at the sink. We were not notified of a shut off, so I’m guessing it was something construction related. We called guest services twice but by 1:00am nobody had come so we all went to bed. It was working fine when we got up this morning thankfully.

It will be interesting to see it in person. In the photo, it’s a lot. 😳😂
I feel the same way! I didn't mind the changes with the rug and blue couch, but the old beige bathroom was very soothing. This is a bit intense.

They might have found rolls of old stock in the warehouse. They might call it vintage paper.

Dave
I just hope they don't have any leftover wallpaper border for the main living space. I do NOT miss that.

Sorry but the phone calls goes to a call center now, your only option for questions or issues like this are to stop by the Front desk and speak to someone in-person.

Dave
I know it’s a call center. And yes my son went to the front desk also. They didn’t know why it wasn’t working, and there’s been no communication today explaining the outage.

Thank you for sharing these pictures! I used the touring plans room finder and filtered by water view/2 queen and large balcony. This showed no rooms overlooking SAB so I made the switch to BC/water view and put in a request for a full balcony. I’m hoping with a short two night stay they can find us a room to fulfill the request. Even if construction noises are not too loud at YC, I’d definitely prefer to not be looking at scaffolding.
