Sooooo glad we do not RD anymore, leisurely role in around 9:30 - 10:00, stay until after close and we still get in everything we wanted. Our trips have been much more relaxing
With waiting in the skyliner lines for so long and not getting to the park early enough, I would take POP off your resort lists because of all the hassles

Yes, we've seriously been reconsidering how we tour especially as the kids are getting older. I think we're just going to bite the bullet and split our park days in half (a few rope dropping and a few rolling in when we feel like it.) The rope dropping this past trip just didn't really seem worth it and the super early mornings really aren't pleasant. It's hard for me (I think only me in oyr group lol) to fight the urge of getting our monies worth, but if we can enjoy our time better doing it a different way then really that's the value.

We toured very differently last year when my teen was battling a cold (a couple of days not going to a park at all ) but it wasn’t bad. Different yes but not bad. We also had 8 park days which made a big difference too. We took the entire trip at a slower pace and honestly still really enjoyed ourselves! It was difficult fighting the urge to RD as I like to squeeze in as much as I can but in the end, we still had an amazing time and the extra sleep allowed my dd to enjoy herself too.
