We switched our annual Girl’s Trip from Beach Club to GF because of the pool situation. Very frustrating.

We switched our annual Girl’s Trip from Beach Club to GF because of the pool situation. Very frustrating.

Yes, it’s that winter time of year when they think it’s ok to close pools because the decision makers all live in Florida, and would never dream of using a pool in low temperatures. But I’m from Maine, and I spent an hour in that pool every morning at 6:30am in mid January when the temperatures were in the low 40’s.

We have our first stay in August 2025 (5 nights in DVC resort studio), and totally gutted to think the lobby may be under refurbishment during our stay. What will be will be, but it won't stop us feeling very disappointed.

2 New Permits were filed for the Main Building. Not sure if means anything for the Lobby refurb, but thought I’d share. Found on WDW Magic.

We have our first stay in August 2025 (5 nights in DVC resort studio), and totally gutted to think the lobby may be under refurbishment during our stay. What will be will be, but it won't stop us feeling very disappointed.

We were there during the lobby painting. It wasn't ideal but it was not that bad. I was also more bothered by the outside construction but that too was tolerable and did not negatively impact our trip. We are there every June and am ready for whatever we get this year. I will just be happy once it is all done.

Congratulations! Same here...first time using our DVC points for an August trip in a resort studio!

I agree, I was there for the painting and the walls up in the lobby, it really wasn't that bad. Upstairs was perfect and 1/2 the lobby and all the stores downstairs were operational.

An update on courtyard pool: there is a sign that it’s still closed but the pool is filled and there were fountains on. We just got here so I don’t know if work never began or if it’s complete.

From what I understand, the work that was to be done was maintenance on the Courtyard Pool building, not the pool itself.

Any pictures of that area would be appreciated!

We have a DVC reservation for a resort studio booked for mid September and received an email yesterday saying there would be construction during our dates. The email mentioned the lobby. I wonder when they are planning to start if they think the refurb will still be going in September?

Those emails have been going out for about two years now. If you go back the past couple of pages, or Page 1, you will see the current status of any construction going on at this time, however, no mention of the lobby as of yet. I will definitely update this thread if anything changes.
