Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

I am stressing out over the transportation the morning of our MK day. We have an 8:30 am reservation at Crystal Palace and want to make sure we aren't late. We normally stay at Poly and can just hop on the Monorail (or at a resort with just one bus stop.) We will be staying in the tower....What should I expect out of the bus service. Should I plan on using the Minnie Van service that morning? If we go the bus route how early should we be at the stop?

The only time I’ve had issue with the bus system at CSR is the day of the marathon, but transportation in general that day is a logistical nightmare. If you want to make sure you get on the bus (ie, it’s super crowded during your visit for some reason), walk to Casitas as that’s the first stop unless things have changed recently. You’ll have to complete the loop before taking off for the park, but at least you’ll be on the bus.

You will not have a problem getting on the bus at the tower at the time of morning you'll want to be up early enough to make your reservation--that is roughly the usual time for Early Entry so I would aim to be at the stop by at 7:30 at the very latest. I never had an issue rope dropping MK from the tower and door to door it's a very short ride. Peak times are later in the morning as stragglers start waking up.

We've been looking forward to getting the Giant Pretzel at El Mercado de Coronado but noticed last night it is gone from the online menu. Anyone going soon that can confirm? We're headed down in 2 weeks...

We were there the week of March 17th, and the pretzels were gone. My husband had planned to have the cinnamon one but they didn’t have either any more

Oh I was afraid they were gone! We were fortunate enough to try the cinnamon one in December and it was on our must do list for our trip starting in a few weeks. We were hoping to do the half pepperoni pizza/half cinnamon hack this time. My DH is hoping that they change their minds and bring it back by the end of April...doubtful...it was great while it lasted...

I just returned from CSR and totally agree with this. We stayed in the tower and saw this as normal practice. However on several occasions the tower was the first stop for pickup without rhyme or reason. However if you follow the advise of the Skyat worst you’ll be the second stop.

I never found the bus stop at the tower as being overly crowded.

If you have stayed at both.. how does CSR compare to CBR in terms of resort size and how spread out it is? We've stayed at CBR and yes it's big, but we really enjoyed it anyway!
Is CSR relatively same size?

CSR is round and they added bridges across the lake to help with the walking where CBR is oblong and the walks seem longer. But they are both big

Using quick service dining credits at el Mercado and Siestas Cantina…

Has anyone used them there lately and gotten alcoholic drinks with the meal credit? I’m wondering if they have any restrictions.

I'd get a Minnie Van as the price is worth not having to stress to me.

No need to spend the extra money. Buses start very early and run well. Just get to a stop by 7:15-7:30am.
