I'm sure this has been asked numerous times, but as I'm unable to find the search function on the new layout...and it's been a few years since I've been to DL...have a quick question on whether the fireworks schedule remains the same in the summer (Fri, Sat, Sun), or whether they have usually added a weeknight as well?

We're planning on going sometime in late July after a conference I have in the area, but really would like to avoid the park, or even area, on a Friday or Saturday evening.

Thanks much!

During summer they have fireworks every night.

During the summer season, the fireworks are presented nightly. Last summer they started at 9:25pm, which was just after the first Fantasmic! performance. This year however, the new fireworks show "Disneyland Forever" will have to be scheduled around the new "Paint The Night" parade. I'd expect the parade start at around 9pm, with the fireworks closer to 10pm. Then they could do a second showing of the parade at 10:30 or 11:00, IF they present they parade twice.

Of course I don't know if they'd be allowed to have the fireworks that late in the evening. They may have to run "Paint The Night" and "Fantasmic!" at the same time for one show. With three nighttime shows and possibly five total performances each night, Disneyland is going to be busy very busy at night. All I can say for certain is it's going to be a nightmare if they close Fantasyland down for the fireworks and/or "Paint The Night".

I remember looking up some old times guides from when they used to have the Electric Parade (MSEP), Fantasmic!, and fireworks all being presented on the same nights in DL. One example schedule was:
8:30 pm and 10:15 pm for MSEP
9:00 pm and 10:30 pm for Fantasmic!
9:25 pm for Fireworks

So it's possible that they would do something like this again, but it probably depends on the run time for Paint the Night (compared to MSEP) and Disneyland Forever (compared to Remember...Dreams Come True). I remember it made the parks feel very busy in evening, trying to get from one area to another or one show to the other, but on the other hand, it was a lot of fun because there was so much to see and do in the evenings!

I have read the 60th anniversary fireworks are going to be nightly, so yes expect them to go off every night, barring inclement weather, and I would guess they will be starting between 9:15 and 9:45.

When I was a kid I remember being able to watch Fantasmic, see the fireworks, and watch the electric light parade all in the same night if you timed yourself just right. I'm hoping the schedule this summer will be similar. We go all the time, but we rarely stay for the night entertainment anymore so this summer I'm making a point of taking my 5-year-old to see the night stuff.

I remember those days as well...very busy in the evenings, but a lot of fun. I think seeing two out of three will be fairly doable, adding the third one in depends on the schedule and how "prime" of viewing spot you'll want. :)
