Disneyland Hotel Room Requests

Hello!
I’m familiar with making room requests for Disney World Resorts, but am wondering if Disneyland hotel also accepts requests.

If so, does anyone have any thoughts about a good request to submit?

We are staying in a standard view room next week and I believe only the Fantasy Tower is open at this time. I have only stayed in Frontier Tower, so I am not very familiar with this part of the hotel.

Any tips or recommendations are very much appreciated!

Thank you!

You'll be looking at a parking lot. With only one tower open, there is no point in making room requests. All standard rooms in Fantasy are the ones that face the parking lot. You could ask for a high floor, I suppose, but that might be considered the Deluxe view since it faces the park and you'd be able to see fireworks.

At the DLH, we always pay for the Deluxe Pool view because it is our favorite, but for a standard view room, I'd let the chips fall where they will. We ended up with an amazing standard view room last weekend at GCH and I didn't make any requests.

We also choose to pay a little more for a deluxe pool view because of the beauty of the pool and the quiet room, Higher is quieter!!

I'm trying to make the same decision as OP for a stay in mid September. Don't mind looking at a parking lot and would rather save the money, but not if the standard rooms are loud as @COASTIEandMATE imply. At WDW we avoid pool views precisely because of noise! What makes them louder, street noise? It's only $38 more for Deluxe per night
We won't be in the room during the day, but don't want to hear noise at night or early morning!

There won't be traffic noise at all. The standard rooms in the Fantasy tower face the front entrance of the resort, so you may occasionally hear a car alarm or something. At night you will also hear fireworks. Other than that, these are quiet rooms. Pool rooms aren't noisy at all IF you have one of the upper floor Deluxe Pool View rooms. The rooms at the DLH are very well insulated from outside house since the windows don't open.

Okay, great to hear! Is Fantasy tower still the only one open?

There are no standard rooms in the Adventure tower, I don't think. One side faces Downtown Disney head on and the other side faces the pool.
Oh, right, I confused it with Frontier Tower. I do the same in the parks lol

Adventure tower is open. We were there last weekend. We were in a DTD view room on the 10th floor. No noise from the DVC building from the room, but while I was out running around getting food from the Coffee shop, you could hear work going on.

Standard rooms in the adventure tower are the 2-3 floors. While I love the Adventure Tower, I don't think I would want the lower floor due to noise.

I've requested Adventure tower in the past when booking a standard room for the reasons mentioned. You either get a lower floor or an obstructed view. For us, it has given us a decent pool view, just lower down, or a room with palm trees partially blocking the view. We liked both so I would definitely request Adventure if booking a standard room. We didn't have issues with noise.

Edited to add: I would much prefer a partial pool/DTD view to a parking lot view.

Well, I'm confused about what's generating the noise by the lower floors @Malcon10t --pool activities? passersby?

@DizMe agreed, partial pool/DTD views sound much better than parking lot, and glad you didn't have noise. But since others report noise (and I care more about that than view), maybe to be safe I'll just fork up the extra money and get a Deluxe view room.

I'm guessing the noise referred to is the construction of the new DLH DVC tower nearby. There have been reports of noise from that, so perhaps that's why Malcon10t wouldn't currently recommend a lower floor. Not sure if DizMe has stayed since they reopened and the construction began.

Cheri, We have only ever stayed in the Adventure tower, and honestly, I ONLY want to stay in the Adventure tower going forward. LOVE it.

I agree, Matt, except that we have gotten fantastic suites in the Frontier tower! Way up, nice views, and 2 bathrooms in the ones we were given. The suites in that tower are large and well equipped. I've only stayed in the Fairytale suite in Adventure so I don't really know how the regular suites compare to the ones in Frontier. Bonus with Frontier suites, or at least the ones on top, is the balcony.

longtimedisneylurker, you're right, I've not stayed in Adventure since construction began.

I would love to do the Frontierland suite in the Frontier tower, but at the same price as the Adventureland Suite in the Adventure tower, it's a no-brainer for us. Patiently waiting for my Disney Visa rewards point to make a dent in that....

There are also suites in the Fantasyland tower. We were upgraded to one from a standard room in July 2015 for my son's birthday weekend. It was on the top floor and had an amazing pool view!
