Disneyland Hotel Room Requests

Well, I'm confused about what's generating the noise by the lower floors @Malcon10t --pool activities? passersby?

@DizMe agreed, partial pool/DTD views sound much better than parking lot, and glad you didn't have noise. But since others report noise (and I care more about that than view), maybe to be safe I'll just fork up the extra money and get a Deluxe view room.
While it isn't happening now, in the past, there have been bands playing at DTD til late (midnight) that is loud even on the 5th and 6th floors. Pool side is usually only the noise from Trader Sams. And once above the 5th floor you don't hear.

And I love the suites in the Adventure tower, but Frontier tower suites are also great!!

I would love to do the Frontierland suite in the Frontier tower, but at the same price as the Adventureland Suite in the Adventure tower, it's a no-brainer for us. Patiently waiting for my Disney Visa rewards point to make a dent in that....
I'm not aware of a "Frontierland Suite" in the Frontier tower. There is the Big Thunder Suite in the Adventure tower. It is nice, but not as impressive as the Adventure Suite. I have a hard time deciding between the Pirates Suite and the Mickey Penthouse for my second favorite.

There are also suites in the Fantasyland tower. We were upgraded to one from a standard room in July 2015 for my son's birthday weekend. It was on the top floor and had an amazing pool view!
WOW! That's an awesome upgrade!! Fantasy used to be my favorite tower when my kids were little. Very magical and it had Tinkerbell sprinkling pixie dust around the top of the room (it was a glow in the dark border that gradually faded once the lights were out). Later, we preferred Adventure because you could book a standard room and still get DTD or pool view, and I think almost all of the regular rooms were the same size. In Fantasy tower, the rooms were various sizes and we once got a room that was practically a hallway--barely enough room for a queen bed. We declined that one :D. Frontier was my least favorite because it was farther away from everything, but then we discovered the family suites...sadly, that's just a once-in-a-while indulgence.

I must now turn in my Disney card for not remembering that it is the Big Thunder Suite. It looks really cool. We were reasonably close to doing the Fairytale Suite once for just the wife and I. The Mickey Penthouse and Pirates Suites look pretty cool too, but I think I'll always prefer the Adventureland suite.

This may be a stupid question, but I’ve never stayed or gone to Disneyland. We booked a room for April, but how do we request a specific tower?

You can request, but that is all it is is a request. Did you book a standard, deluxe or premium view? To put in a request, call the reservation line and they can help you.

I called GCH to request a specific room (booked DTD view for November) and was told they wouldn't even take requests prior to 10-days before arrival. I might just have gotten a cast-member who didn't know requests could be taken/noted at any time (despite not being guaranteed to be fulfilled)?

Did you call the front desk or the reservations line? Front desk won't do it.

Hmmmm, I truly don't know. I get confused with the different phone numbers and, as it's a very expensive exercise calling on my mobile phone from Canada to US, I generally glom onto the first number I see. Is the "reservations line" number on the Disneyland website?

This is really good information! We're staying Premium View Club Level in March. We should have DTD views, but would it be worth calling in a request for a "better" room or view?

The reservations line is (714) 956-6425.

We haven’t been to Disneyland in over 5 years, we are easy coasters and wdw people, but it’s definitely time for a break. The last time we were in DL we stayed at the Sheraton but now we definitely want the DL hotel or GC. It’s a tough choice! The lack of balconies are really throwing us off at the DLH and the direct access to CA is definitely a plus. I’m open to any advice. We are heading there Easter week (crowded I know) we have an 8 year old son. He’s happy with anything;) thanks!

Great! We will be at DLH that week. Have a great time whatever you decide, but I'd decide quickly.
