There are 5 productions of Disney On Ice now touring in the United States and Canada. "Monsters, Inc.", is in Japan at the moment and will return to the U.S. in January while "Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey" is on it's European tour for the rest of the year. Here is a list of the shows and their upcoming tour dates. I highly recommend all of them (Monsters is an especially fun show for adults as well as kids). As always, check your local listings for show times and ticket prices as they are different in every market.

We saw "Finding Nemo" in Indianapolis last December and it was great!

Anyone know what "The Incredibles in a Magic Kingdom Adventure" is like? Maybe we'll go see that too.

TIA,
Debbie

I just got the info. in the mail today. The Incredibles go to MK and ride rides like Small World and Haunted Mansion! www.disneyonice.com has more info.

I have a question about purchasing tickets- I got a code today to order tickets before they go on sale to the general public. Should I do this to order now, or wait and use my $5 off per ticket code that's good when they go on sale to everyone? Anyone? Thanks. I can't wait!

fanof disney - Last year I got the advance notice (for Nemo) with a code to purchase tickets before the general public. I ordered the tickets as soon as I was allowed and I am SO glad I did! We had wonderful seats. When I ordered the tickets it was indicated we'd be in Row 3. I thought that was great. Well, when we went to the show and gave the usher our ticket stubs so she could show us to our seats she said "ooo, you're in the first row". :cool1: Guess in our arena for ice shows Row 3 is actually Row 1. And we were in the center of the row too so we had a wonderful view. Also, the characters would skate right up to us and interact with us.

So, for us, I'd rather get the great seats instead of saving $5/ticket. We did go with the most expense seats though. I hadn't been to a Disney on Ice show before and I wanted to have the best experience possible. We did! Even DH was very impressed!

Hey! I just noticed you are from Indiana too. We're in Westfield (about 40 minutes north of downtown Indianapolis).

I put a review of the show here when it opened. As for purchasing tickets it depends on the layout of the seating where the show is playing. I played the arena in Indianapolis with the circus last year and I seem to remeber that the end track seats were right on the floor (and thus would probably be the "front and center" seats for the ice show). Personally, I prefer to sit a little farther up to get a good perspective of the entire layout...but I'm a lighting designer and I look at EVERYTHING from that perspective.

When we saw Nemo at Conseco Fieldhouse last December we were in Section 5 so we were seated "front row center" (looking at the longer side of the rink, not the end where a hockey goal would be). While that was really cool I can see how one might miss out on some of the neat lighting effects by sitting right at ice level .... I'm sure sitting back a bit would make for a different looking show.
