I figured a break from the CP threads could be good for us.

What Disney character from ANY movies or ANY TV Show or Comic or whatever would make your entire trip to Disney more magical?

For some reason, when it comes to Disney, I have this love for all things Nostalgic. That is not to say I don't love all the new things! However, something about seeing Darkwing Duck and Launchpad McQuack, or Max Goof makes my Disney Trip 100x better. From when I was 10 to 13 or so I would come home from school and sit with my Grandma and I would watch Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, etc on Toon Disney while eating Sweedish Fish or Oreos and though it may sound silly, that was the best part of my day and some of the best times of my life. haha. That's such a sad sad run on sentence.

So tell me: Who would you like to see the most?

Bonus: As many of you are doing character auditions...who would you most like to be friends with?

Bonus bonus: Also...Why don't we just share pictures of yourselves with characters?

This is one of my favorite pictures simply for the random kids in the background. I'm the one on the left, by the way.

I get the feeling this thread might be largely ignored as most posts are about CP but it's worth a try.

I think a break from a CP-related thread is a nice. My favorites are pretty common, but any meeting with Belle would definitely make my trip 100x times better (or more!). Oh, and an encounter with Clopin from Hunchback of Notre Dame would be pretty sweet too.

I agree with you, CursedCarolers. My favorite Disney characters are definitely the older ones. Afternoons on the Disney Channel were my favorite thing to watch as a kid!! I was so excited when they made Toon Disney specifically for those, but now a lot of them are gone to make way for new stuff. It's very disappointing to flip channels and find that often, the same thing that's on the Disney Channel is on Toon Disney. At the same time. :sad2:

My all-time favorite was Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers! I wish they would bring back Chip and Dale in their outfits from the show to take pictures in the parks. And Darkwing Duck! Toontown Fair is nice now, but I really miss what it used to be. I love seeing some of the older film characters, too. Belle, the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Captain Hook, Dopey, and the White Rabbit are some of my favorites. I also love the Winnie the Pooh characters, and of course Mickey and his friends! Donald, Daisy, Chip, and Dale are so much fun to interact with! It would be fun if you could meet more of the villains around the parks. Gaston would be cool to get pictures with!

Here are a couple of my favorite character pics from the last couple of years. I wish I could find some from when I was really little!

I would like this next photo a lot more if my hat hadn't fallen in my face!

Sorry if I got carried away...

ETA: I tried to resize them to make them smaller, but it didn't seem to work right away. Sorry the pics are so large!

Brer Fox is a good one! I wish they would release Song of the South on DVD already.

and that last one with Chip and Dale on your shirt is classsssic.

More villains would indeed be awesome. They should really utilize that villains store in DHS for more than just Nightmare Before Christmas stuff. I would love to meet Hades. haha I'm so hard to please when it comes to Disney World. I kid. :P

I think my loser is showing in this thread. Time for unnecessary emoticons!

I would love to meet Steamboat willie Mickey!!!! And I pretty much love meeting any of the characters, the Pooh characters are o cute and adorable!!! My favorite though is Goofy if I see him my trip is complete hands down. Who'd I like to be friends with (being feasible with height here): Goofy, Tigger, Gepetto might be interesting!!! I have a ton of pics I'll have to resize them lol. I'm really lucky I get to work with the Pooh characters every Wed. and Goofy at Character Spot 3 other days!!!!!
Have a Magical Day!!!

I usually just stalk here, but I couldn't resist when I saw this. What makes my visit memorable are the characters people seem to forget running around - like Robin Hood or other Pinocchio characters such as Gideon or J. Worthington Foulfellow.

I've never gotten to meet Robin Hood characters in Disney World, but when I went to Disneyland Paris in April I met them all and I was ecstatic.

Any of the Lion King characters. It's my favorite movie of all time ever, so I basically stalk AK and MK looking for Rafiki. :rotfl: I love Rafiki... Timon I can take or leave...

Ariel's common, but she's a favorite of mine too just because she's my homegirl, haha. :cloud9: I think you'll be able to see why in the picture... (sadly I don't have any of me and Ariel that aren't from when I was like 10).

But yeah, I totally agree with the villians sentiment. There are some hilarious videos of The Queen and The Tremaines on YouTube... they all just seem like so much fun to meet. Though Jafar definitely scared the bejeezus out of me when I was younger. We might go back next September and I'd definitely want to hit up MNSSHP just to meet some villains.

& I think it'd be completely amazing to be friends with Ariel. And Anastasia Tremaine. Gotta rep the readheads, lol. Alice is too short and too blonde for me but I think it'd be so much fun hanging out with the Mad Hatter all day...

Pics!

Here's me FINALLY meeting Rafiki and Timon on the last day of our last trip and being super-dorky about it:

This is one of my fave character-meet pictures... Minnie and I glamming it up:

And this isn't exactly a character picture but it's one of my favorite Disney pictures/experiences:

Wow! I forgot there is a Steamboat Willie Mickey in WDW. At the end of Fantasmic he's rollin with the boat. haha. That would be awesome. Eeyore is always a favorite of mine. And Goofy of course. Though I've been unsure of him since he tried to make out with my friend last trip... Okay maybe he didn't try to do that but it looked like it.

Haha I would love to meet Prince John. I imagine he'd be funny.

Redheads unite! Ariel is always a favorite of mine too. That's cause she's the best princess. I alway used to blush when taking pictures with her when I was younger. It was a bit of a crush. and I loved all of your pictures!!

Who wants to start a WDW/DL picture thread? I'd so post in there all the time. haha.

I remember when Prince John and Friar Tuck used to hang out on Main Street! Robin Hood is such an underrated film. I'd love it if those characters could be found on a regular basis again!

You know what would be great? A villains character meal! I know Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters are at the Grand Floridian character meal (1900 Park Fare?) and Captain Hook does a pirate lagoon cruise, I think. But a whole meal/interaction experience would be really fun! Maybe Jafar, the Wicked Queen, Maleficent, Prince John, Gaston, Hades, etc. Or any of them, really. There are so many to choose from, they could even be on a rotation schedule so you never know which ones would be there.

:thumbsup2 I would definitely book a reservation to that meal! The Disney villains are so awesome imo, so I feel that they're totally underrepresented at the parks.

Although I guess a lot of the kids at the parks would be scared of them, so that's probably why they don't have that many . . .:confused3

That's probably why you can't find them around often. With a restaurant, you'd be able to decide for yourself whether any kids in the party could handle it before booking. If not, more space for us! :thumbsup2

Now I'm wondering where a restaurant like that would go... My first thought is DHS, even though a lot of the classic film environment has been replaced. I don't think it would fit well at a resort, so one of the parks would seem right.

My favorite character is Goofy! Can't wait to see him for the first time. Aside from him, I think seeing Buzz and Woody will make my trip magical. I'm just a big kid at heart, and Toy Story is one of my fav Disney movies.

But then Mickey Mouse is the epitome of Disney, so definitely him too.

I love meeting all the characters. In fact, I created a website with pictures of every character I've met (link is below).

I love meeting the characters, especially when they're really interactive and willing to play!

When we were at Disney this summer I decided that even though we are "big girls" my sister and I just HAD to meet some characters.

IMG_0490.jpg

Me and Lilo! She was so cute and blew me a kiss!

IMG_0501.jpg

My sister and I with Belle! I actually liked meeting Sleeping Beauty more, but my sister has her eyes closed in the picture so I like this one better.

I also got to play with Baloo at DHS for like 20 minutes, which was super fun. It was pretty soon after rope drop near the hat so the crowds were pretty much nonexistant. We took a balloon from the American Idol Experience CM and were taking it to different CMs around the square. It was really fun and I felt like such a little kid because Baloo literally grabbed my hand and was pulling me around to all these people. And he was flipping TALL! I'm just over 5'4", not super short, but he was probably 2 feet taller than me. I just wish I had a picture. *sigh*
