Hi everyone and welcome to our Christmas adventure trip report!

This trip was from December 5-9 and was so much fun! Caroline and I stayed at the beautiful Gran Destino Tower which was fabulous once again.

Highlights include a Skyliner Crawl with dear Disfriends, the Candlelight Processional, MVMCP and much more.

Please join in with us as we relive 4 days of fun!

Yay I am here. It was a lovely trip and I really enjoy touring and staying with you! The tower is such a lovely place at Disney! It is close to everything and the rooms are spacious, clean, and definitely a deluxe feel with a moderate price!
I have really loved this time of year to travel to Disney!
Let the good times begin….

Hi Jenny! Thanks for joining in!
Can't wait to hear all about your trip!
:welcome:
Honestly, you two are adorable and aspirational.
You represent my age group and I love your sense of adventure and Disney spirit.
You should start a YouTube channel or something!
Awwww, thank you for your kind words! @disneyAndi14 do we have a retirement project? What do you think? Especially if we both end up wintering near the parks.

I’m here :wave2:
I’ll be back later on to read as it’s time to get up and at it for the 2nd to last school run with the youngest boy before he officially becomes an adult 😱. I have no idea how 18 years have gone by so quickly but they have!
Cheerio for now. Looking forward to reading all about your Christmas adventures

Well that was the fastest prepared breakfast and packed lunch in history ( or at least in the history of my family) as I just couldn’t wait to read your intro 😂
You are both looking fabulous and I can’t wait to hear all the details of your trip. I’ve never stayed at Coronado but your reviews make me think about it. The Tower sounds lovely.
Sounds like you had the best time together :goodvibes

I've been looking forward to your trip report. We were there Dec 3 - 7 and we were very busy. I wished that we had a few extra days so that it would have been easier to meet up. :)
I wish we could have seen each other in December, the time did go by so quickly!
Woo hoo!! The second half of the report. Can't wait. Now - sell me on the tower at Coronado. Because it's on my list but always gets bumped in favor of the skyliner.
Coronado in general is amazing. It always gets negative feedback saying it's so big but I don't find it that way. The tower rooms are spacious and well designed. It honestly feels more deluxe than some deluxe resorts. The village rooms are well designed as well. There are often good discounts. They have 11 restaurants on site including three of my favourite property wide; Toledo, Three Bridges and Dahlia Lounge.
Here for this! Can’t wait to see all the silly shenanigans you get up to together!!
Hi! Thanks for joining in. :) We certainly had fun.

Hi Moira! Glad you are here! Happy Birthday to your baby! The time goes so fast.

The travel day from you know where....

Still feeling positive about a late evening flight here!

Bill kindly offered to drive me to the airport which was so appreciated. Rush hour traffic in the Toronto area is no joke so we took the toll highway. It was snowy and messy driving and I didn't really breathe easily until I got a text from Bill saying he was safely at home again.

My security clearance and customs luck held up once again being through both in 15 minutes.

I was flying Air Canada tonight so was in terminal 1 instead of 3. I was a bit disconcerted at first as everything was unfamiliar but found a spot near my gate that had food/bar service to your seat and ordered an Aperol Spritz to start things off right. My flight was originally scheduled to leave at 8:55 pm but I had received my first delay notification before I even left for the airport. :(

The delays continued and now I wasn't (supposedly) leaving Toronto until 11 pm. I had made friends with two young women who were travelling to NYC and we passed the time chatting. Our table mates were another story as they were getting well into their duty free purchases and their conversation was taking a turn for the worse. So my new friends and I went to grab tea before their flight left. I got yet another delay notice so consoled myself with another beverage. We finally left Pearson at 11:55 pm!!

Finally had feet on the ground at 2:53 am!

Of course I had to have a picture of the Christmas tree. :)

I grabbed an Lyft at 3:02 am, arriving at Gran Destino at 3:38 am. I found our room and quietly snuck in and got ready for bed.

I was up and raring to go at 7:44 am. It was time to go play in Magic Kingdom!!
