Dining Reservation Cancellation Policy?

Hello all! Am headed to the parks Aug. 3-7 and our window for dining reservations is about to open. Just went to WDW last October, and found out that even though there is a 24-hour cancellation policy, one can modify a reservation within less than 24 hours (move it to another day) with no penalty. Anyone know if this is true at DLR/DCA as well?

Also, how soon do I need to make reservations for WOC or MSEP dining packages? Will they sell out quickly?

Yes, this is the same at DLR. We had something come up the morning of a brunch reservation and were going to be unable to make it. We called and reserved another date and then proceeded to cancel that reservation instead, for no penalty.

I'm not too sure on how soon you should book a package but I always suggest to make reservations as soon as possible because the packages do tend to book up. Remember Disney has a 60 day reservation window.

Yes, we did it a few times on our last trip (due to weather and then a sick child).

Yes...their goal is to prevent no shows...not punish people that need to make last minute changes.

This is Disneyland......reservations rarely sell out right away. The dining packages may not even be available to book at 60 days. No middle of the night craziness for ADRs.

Tee hee! That sounds great. I was not prepared for the amount of work necessary for our WDW trip. Am enjoying what seems to be a more relaxing process of planning for this trip.
