Digital Membership Cards?

In the video it also says that you will need to show the DVC affiliation from the card in order to get the discount. On the video it shows DVC Y. So the QR isn't being used by the sounds of things (right now anyways).

They couldn’t scan the QR code yesterday. We stopped at Memento Mori last night and I had to pull up the Magic Mobile pass in my Apple Wallet and show it with DVC Y. My husband refuses to set it up because it requires a credit card and they wouldn’t accept his Magic Mobile pass in MDE (it didn’t show anything other than the pass).

People are saying that you can get it in Wallet or a Google Pay without adding the credit card.

This seems like the most difficult solution to a not difficult problem, but whatever.
My question is, if I take a screenshot of my affiliation, will that be sufficient?

I am going to test that next week. I have it in my Apple Wallet and it works with my watch.

But I did screenshot my affiliations, my license and as back up, my temporary blue card from the website.

Put it all in Notes on my iPhone. Going to see if having it all in one place will work!!

I imagine if you screenshot the screen with the QR code that would be fine since they also ask for ID. Probably a bit faster to pull up a photo than going into wallet every time.

That video was pretty bad, imo. The walkthrough in the app doesn't show how to choose the DVC pass style (the DVC ones weren't even shown in the selections) nor how to get it to show if it's not showing, just a generic "you can choose exclusive pass styles". Also for the affiliation/discounts, they should've explained the whole DVC Y, DVC ND. They show in the video "DVC Y", but the audio just mentioned to show your affiliation starting with "DVC".

They really should've thought about making this work with magic bands or kept the physical cards since we still need to provide ID anyway.

It shows the exclusive pass when it mentions being able to choose an exclusive one for members.

There's a stark difference between those folks who try but have difficulty understanding the process or can't use the technology (vision, hearing or other physical or developmental challenges), and those who simply won't do it based on "principle" or stubbornness.

Good they finally provided some more clarity. Mine still just says DVC no Y or ND. I should be ND but if it still says DVC only in March, I'll try for discounts but no big deal if denied.

Our trip is in 2 weeks, so I’d like to be prepared for it. Will likely do as you and save everything in notes just in case.

I dont use a Magic Band because I use my watch to enter the park. But, I don’t think that is going to work because it’s clear you have to be able to show the affiliations.

It was already confirmed someone who denied who just pulled up Magic Mobile in MDE because it didn’t show the correct info.

My DD is there new. She is grandfathered into member benefits, but has the DVC ND "glitch". As back up she took her old blue card (expired) and has a screen shot of the temporary Blue card from DVC website. I believe she got the discount both attempts, but one CM refused to accept the screen shot or old blue card, but took DVC ND, while the another CM took the screen shot.......
Just as consistent as the old days.

Well, our problem is ours just says DVC. There's no Y. Which there should be bit there is not. We are also Disney visa card holders and it also doesnt say DVIC so people like us are just out if luck? Doesn't seem quite right or fair

Yeah, ours just says DVC. No Y next to it like it should have since we are blue card holders as well.

Our MDE accounts and MagicMobile credentials and wallets updated automatically, so DH had everything all set up just fine. But he decided he wanted the DVC card, not the Millenium Falcon card he had chosen when MM first came out. So he went to his MDE account and switched to the DVC card. Went back to his wallet to find the DVC card but no affiliations! He had to go through the process of deleting and re-entering the optional phone number and changing cards several times before he got the right combination of DVC card and affiliations. I'm glad I'm still happy with my first MM card!

This all makes me ill. Everything Disney now touches is a mess. Today tried hours holding for DAS, IT and DVC to get some kind of ID to add direct contracts which weren’t in my profile to stupid Mobile whatever. Total asinine. Give me a hard card of anything over digital. Everything crashes at one time or another. We all know that.

i ended up talking to literally no one. Had to take a walk in the sun (I’m on FL) and clear my mind. I was that upset.
