Has anyone heard "Dancing With Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman? Just heard it this afternoon in the car and OH MY GOODNESS!!! I cried, DH cried---such a sweet song! It fits our DD6 perfectly--all I could think about was her growing up and still saying "Dance with me, Daddy. . ."

I have!!!!! And I just love that song too!:goodvibes I want to buy the CD, that has that song on it! I just love Steven Curtis Chapman, I have 2 of his CD's! I got to see him in 2005, when he was at Disney World for Night of Joy! It was AWESOME!!!!!!

OMG, that song made me cry too! I love that song. Just not sure I can ever listen to it again. :lmao:

Well, put it this way. . .
we heard the song on the way to run errands in town, so DH made a detour to buy the CD!! He's listened to it over and over already, and my DD6 had to have it in her CD player to listen to as she went to sleep. I've teared up every time I've heard it so far!!!

it's my daddy daughter dance at my wedding in 7 days!!!!

Congratulations! Hope your dad makes it through the song. . .
(if it were my DH right now, he'd be a blubbering mess by the time the song was over!!! ) But seriously, what a wonderful memory for you to have!

It replaced the Butterfly Kisses song for the one that makes me cry the most. :sad1:

I just listened to the song. I'm crying right now. We have 3 daughters and I can't even what DH is gonna be like when they finally get married. Actually, yes I can and I will need to discreetly pass him tissues the entire day.

This song fits my DD4 perfectly. She's always dancing around, she's always asking Daddy to dance with her. She's even asked him to marry her.

I love any song by Steven Curtis Chapman, he really knows how to speak to people through song.

I also love everything he sings!

This is a great song, and it is based in fact. Chapman's DGF was/is a CM at WDW and when he went to talk to her father one night the father had left out the albums and the top photo was of her as Cinderella in front of the castle.

Are you talking about the song stealing Cinderella? If so I also love that song.

Her is another one for you the song is called Tough. One of best friends sent this song to my DH John they day I was told I have Breast Cancer again. This song made him cry

the singer of Stealing Cinderella (which is a great song btw) is Chuck Wicks

I hadn't heard this. There's a cute video on Chapman's website that explains the circumstances surrounding his writing of this song. Our household has been there, done that and could relate completely. Cinderella Song

We love this one, and DD9 enjoys watching her dad get all choked up when she plays it. :)

I love that song! I downloaded it from iTunes, and I really hope I can keep track of it to play at DD's wedding someday. It made me bawl when I first heard it, and when I played it for DH, he got all teary eyed. The whole "Cinderella" thing is what makes it so perfect for a family of Disney freaks like us. We have so many memories and pictures of DD dressed in her princess costumes, playing with the princesses at WDW, and in front of Cinderella Castle. I think that's what gives it such extra special meaning for DH and me. I'm sure the same could be said for most everyone on this board who have daughters!princess:

Heard it when he debuted it at Night of Joy this you. Have the CD and have it on my IPOD. I love Steven Curtis Chapman's music. Oh what was really neat is 2 of his sons are now touring with him.

Thanks for the link, luvmy2sams! I loved the video--sound like he was describing life at my house! This song will help DH and myself remember to treasure those little moments with our little princess and our almost-double-digit pirate!
