Crocs...socks or no socks?

Maybe. But when your feet hurt comfort trumps cuteness. I got my first pair of clog Crocs at WDW. Those shoes saved my vacation, I was almost in tears from my trusty sneakers that decided to pinch and rub my feet.
LOL - I think that I would let my feet bleed.

:crutches:

If your feet sweat, like mine do, I find Crocs not only uncomfortable without socks (ankle) but, dangerous. My feet slide around and have more then once almost lost my balance because of it. I even had a friend that it happened to and she fell and broke her hip and did damage to her spine. Just not worth taking the chance to me. I also do not understand how people can spend an entire day walking the parks with flip flops. The pavement is hot and I would have the thong part cutting through my foot before an hour was done with. But that's just me, I guess.

I wear them to work everyday (during summer "dress down" time) and I wear them almost exclusively at the parks. I always wear them with "no show" socks and have never had any issues with blisters. In my avatar picture over there DW is the only one that doesn't have crocs on actually!
I asked this question back in 2007!! We've been through several pairs and styles of crocs since...thanks for your reply :)

We still have original Mickey Crocs that we only use on vacation. I prefer socks, my husband wears socks when it's cool out, and no socks in the heat.

If anyone cares now, here's a really important tip. If your Crocs are snug in any spots, or like me, you have a high arch and the top of the Croc rubs the top of your feet, you can heat the Crocs with a hair dryer and stretch them out. I have heated them and them slip them on over socks, and it gives the space to stop the rubbing.

I have Mickey Crocs, regular Crocs, flip flop Crocs, sneaker Crocs, and no-hole Crocs. Absolutely LOVE them. Don't wear them all the time any more, but they are by far the best shoes for the parks.

We wear crocs in the parks as well -- not the original ones, but various other styles that are less bulky. The only issue I've ever had is that they tend to get a little slippery when it rains (as in my foot slides around in them, not that the bottom is slippery on the pavement). We had a downpour last trip and DD6 at the time freaked out because of how her feet felt in them when wet so I ended up buying some (expensive) disney socks in a store and once she put those on she was good to go. I plan on throwing a pair of socks in the park bag just in case something like that happens the next trip!

I have no clue how this very very old thread came back up!! Thanks everyone!! We were successful in 2007 wearing our crocs without socks. In the years since we have tried various crocs, I love the carlie mary jane. My teenagers have abandoned the crocs for sperrys and nikes, only my 5 year will wear crocs now :)
