I find the flip flops very comfortable when I use them -- around the hotel room or pool area.
Do some reading on the dangers of flip flops and the damage you can do to your feet and you might decide that the clogs are appropriate for the parks and things like long walks, while the flip flops actually have limited situations in which they are appropriate, from a foot health POV. There are some who will argue that the clogs are also bad, while others say they are good. But flip flops are universally seen as problematic by the experts.
One of the main problems with flip flops, even ones like Crocs that are well constructed, is that there is no heel support. This manifests in a few ways: one is that there is nothing behind the heel, so the shoe can slip around more easily, and even come off. The second is that as the foot lifts up it looses the support of the shoe, forcing the foot to act in ways it doesn't have to when wearing a heeled shoe. Another is an effect of both -- your foot's instinctive reaction to both is to curl the toes a bit to grip the shoe to keep it in place/on. All of these most people can tolerate for limited distances, and some people can even tolerate for longer distances for a while. But they are ultimately harmful to the foot.
I have a couple ongoing foot problems that mean I can acutely feel all those effects and how the foot tries to react. The other week I had a good example of the "lift the foot up" difference -- I had just been using croc clogs (with the back down so it held the foot) and had switched to the flip flop at the gym (was headed to the pool). The first few steps with the flip flop, in particular, I really felt the difference in foot mechanics when there is no gripping heel.
When I am traveling, I really like being able to take whatever shoes I have been wearing for the day off and put the croc flip flops on when paddling around the hotel room -- a great comfy change for the foot. They are also great for going down to and around the pool. They come off and on easily and have the croc footbed so are very comfortable. I would never try walking long distances or doing a park with them, though.
At home I use croc clogs around the house -- it is designated for indoor use (I bought them in a different colour so I know at a glance they are the indoor shoes vs the normal outdoor ones I have).
