Crocs flip flops vs clogs?

I always wear my Crocs to DW, paired with ankle socks. My feet never sweat, never blister and are never sore (well, unless it's the last day in our vacation and they've been well used).
I have seen the Croc brand flip flops and wondered if they might be a great alternative. I feel like I have big bird feet with my clogs on (they are the new version too).
Are the flip flops as comfortable, do they slid off easily? I wondered if having no socks might make a difference.

The flip flops are awesome but do come off easy. As well, my son is just growing out of a pair and wore them all day last week and found the foot bed part of the shoe that kinda cups your foot was rubbing on his heels because they were just too small so be sure to find the proper fit but otherwise are great shoes.

I LOOOOOVE my crocs flip flops.

The best flip flops are the Athens cause they have the cushiest heel bed as well as a rim around the toes to protect it. Unfortunately, Athens usually aren't sold in stores and you have to buy them online.

I also have an old pair of Capris that they don't make anymore, but the new ones should be just as comfortable.

I've been wearing my Duet Flip around a lot and LOVE IT. It's my everyday flip flop.

I've never had a trouble with them slipping off. The most important thing is that it fits well. If it fits well, then there should be no problems with it slipping.

Clogs for men and women are quite fashionable. I haven't tried crocs flip flops yet so I don't have much to say about them. But clogs provide comfort with added benifit of good-looking. I love wearing my clogs, and would wear them everywhere if possible.

I find the flip flops very comfortable when I use them -- around the hotel room or pool area.

Do some reading on the dangers of flip flops and the damage you can do to your feet and you might decide that the clogs are appropriate for the parks and things like long walks, while the flip flops actually have limited situations in which they are appropriate, from a foot health POV. There are some who will argue that the clogs are also bad, while others say they are good. But flip flops are universally seen as problematic by the experts.

One of the main problems with flip flops, even ones like Crocs that are well constructed, is that there is no heel support. This manifests in a few ways: one is that there is nothing behind the heel, so the shoe can slip around more easily, and even come off. The second is that as the foot lifts up it looses the support of the shoe, forcing the foot to act in ways it doesn't have to when wearing a heeled shoe. Another is an effect of both -- your foot's instinctive reaction to both is to curl the toes a bit to grip the shoe to keep it in place/on. All of these most people can tolerate for limited distances, and some people can even tolerate for longer distances for a while. But they are ultimately harmful to the foot.

I have a couple ongoing foot problems that mean I can acutely feel all those effects and how the foot tries to react. The other week I had a good example of the "lift the foot up" difference -- I had just been using croc clogs (with the back down so it held the foot) and had switched to the flip flop at the gym (was headed to the pool). The first few steps with the flip flop, in particular, I really felt the difference in foot mechanics when there is no gripping heel.

When I am traveling, I really like being able to take whatever shoes I have been wearing for the day off and put the croc flip flops on when paddling around the hotel room -- a great comfy change for the foot. They are also great for going down to and around the pool. They come off and on easily and have the croc footbed so are very comfortable. I would never try walking long distances or doing a park with them, though.

At home I use croc clogs around the house -- it is designated for indoor use (I bought them in a different colour so I know at a glance they are the indoor shoes vs the normal outdoor ones I have).

I love my croc sandals. I wear them all the time. I have flat feet and I find these very comfortable for the parks and real life too

I never wear socks with sandals but I do sometimes wear socks with clogs. I go for comfort, not fashion. I've worn both styles of crocks at WDW and been happy with both.
