When my DD (20) and I went in June, I mentioned to the characters that I'm a 3rd grade teacher, and I'd like some fun pics to use as the desktop wallpapers on my four classroom computers. All of them jumped at the chance to do something different and fun - let's face it, standing and posing one way for an entire work shift would be painful! Mr. Incredible and Frozone offered us their arms (very gentlemenly-like), stood us where they needed us to be, and struck poses that resemble martial arts poses (Bob is crouched down on one leg with the other leg sticking straight out to the right, and Frozone looks like he's defending us).
Our favorite series of photos is from when we visited Buzz. While my DD handed her camera to the photographer, I asked Buzz for a fun shot. He put his hands on his hips, very proudly, to which I remarked, "Oh, we get the funny spaceman!" He walked over to the photographer, and in the series of shots she took, you can see Buzz in the foreground, pushing his hands together to direct us as we're cracking up on Andy's bed. It was as if he had been saying, "No, no, go ahead and pose for YOUR picture. I'll be over here." He finally struck a funny pose between us, so we copied what he was doing. The three of us are in an archer's pose (think bow and arrow).
Another one we did at DL was at Minnie's house. We posed with her, finger to our chins, as we held our shirts out to the side, like she does with her polka dot dress, with her foot turned out.
Characters want to be characters, too. Let them! You won't regret it. (I'm going to figure out how to post pics...be back in a bit.)
