Ok my mom used to make this cranberry salad for Thanksgiving, and now I want to make it too. I thought for sure I'd find the recipe on the Jello or Ocean Spray website, but I can't! Can anyone help me? I remember you make cranberry (or raspberry) jello, using cranberry juice, then you mix whole cranberries with it, celery, walnuts & apples. It's not waldorf salad, there was no mayo in it. It was also not a molded jello salad, although I guess it could be, but we just mixed it all up. Seems simple enough, maybe there really is no recipe. Does this seem familiar to anyone, and if so, do you have an actual recipe?

I know exactly what your talking about, however I don't use a recipe either

I use cranberry or rasberry jello but instead of cranberry juice I use some of the pineapple juice from the can of crushed pineapples that I put into the jello - I also put in apples, celery, walnuts and fresh cranberries, but I cook the cranberries in some water and sugar first. I put the jello in the mold first, put it in the fridge for a little bit until it's a little thick, then dump all of the other things in it. I also decrease the amount of liquid I use in the jello so that it's a little "stiffer" to hold all of the stuff in the salad.

Yes yes yes pineapple too! That's the one! Thank you!

I make one also, but don't use a recipe either. I just make cranberry jello and let it set while I get the other items ready. I use crushed pineapple drained, chopped apples, chopped clery, craisins, nuts and jellied cranberry sauce. I mix all those ingredients together with the jello that has been setting in the fridge. I then leave it in the fridge overnight. I give it a quick mix before serving. Its a must for every holiday per the family's request.
