Cornhole is what made me check on this thread!!!

Are you kidding??? You don't know about CORNHOLE?? WOW! It's the latest craze down here in South Florida. Bars and restaurants are having tournaments. Its HUGE down here...and a lot of fun! Google it or check it on out on ebay... HEY.. I GUESS YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO STOP ON BY OUR SITE NEXT WEEK AND TRY IT OUT!:thumbsup2

I copied this from the ACA (American Cornhole Association) Yes..there is an association:

"It has been called many things, Corn Toss, Bean Bag, Bean Toss, Soft Horseshoes, Indiana Horseshoes, but to many of us born and raised in Kentucky and the southern part of Ohio, the game is passionately referred to as Cornhole.

It has been said that the game originated in Germany in the 14th century, and then was rediscovered in the hills of Kentucky over 100 years ago.

The truth is, who really knows, but the game is great fun for all ages and can be played anywhere!

Cornhole or Corn Toss is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called cornhole platforms and corn bags instead of horseshoes and metal stakes. Contestants take turns pitching their corn bags at the cornhole platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A corn bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point.

Scoring can be swift and the lead may change hands several times in a match before the winner is decided.

The game is generally played tournament style with an individual or team being named the champion at the end of the tournament.

Why play Cornhole / Corn Toss?

The biggest reasons to play Cornhole or Corn Toss instead of horseshoes or other similar games is that Cornhole can be played anywhere and everyone can play Cornhole.

If you can aim and toss a corn bag 30 feet, you can master the game of Cornhole - It's great for family outings.

Cornhole can be played anywhere - driveways, parks, backyard, campgrounds, beaches and even in-doors.

Safe for everyone - no metal or pointed objects. Corn bags are made of extra soft 12 oz. duck canvas material and filled with pliable high quality feed corn.

No muss; no fuss. Two cornhole platforms and 8 corn bags and you’re ready to play the game.

Very portable. Can be taken anywhere. Fits in most car trunks and there are fold-down models that are even more portable.

Horseshoes require a sand pit and are hard for the kids to pitch, lawn darts require a lawn and hasn’t been seen since the 70’s, ring toss was made for children and bean bags are for wimps; Cornhole is the game for everyone!

It’s great fun for the whole family. "

I knew what you were talking about, I have a couple people bugging me to make them a set, I can make the platforms no problem, but does anyone know the size and weight of the bags? I can make my wife make the bags once I know that they need to be!

That is what the platforms look like.

If you know cornhole is a game, you might be a ....

Crap! I knew what it was. LOL! We have been playing it for years up in the midwest.

Wish you were arriving a day earlier as we would stop by for a game and a movie. Unfortunately the day you arrive is the day we have to depart.

It amazes me, possibly even scares me, the vast amount of people who never heard the original meaning of "cornhole". I chuckle every time I hear someone who is going to play "cornhole". Sorry, I just can't help myself.:scared1:

Here in Georgia we call it by the more sophisticated and imaginative name of ................

HOLEY BOARD!:thumbsup2

ahh yes, nothing says "cracker" better than a outdoor movie screen and game of cornhole at the ole campground:lmao:

i saw this game that people were playing one day with a bean bag type of thing...but they threw it at this thing that kind looks like a laudry dryer stand. picture an H but with multiple poles going across at different levels. i think the different poles were different colors

.....the object was for their bag to wrap around the poles

does anyone know about this game?? it looked like fun!!!!

Around here most people play washers. Its about the same thing but instead of throwing bags of corn they toss big metal washers. There is no way I could ever ask anyone around here to play corn hole.:scared: I would never hear the end of it.
