Where can I find a list of CM positions that are covered by the Actors' Equity Association, or at least WDW shows that include AEA parts?

I’ve never seen a list, but, any show where an actor is using a script or a dancer (not a character) is dancing a choreographed routine onstage (not a parade), that’s all Equity.

Examples are the scripted actors in Jedi Training, FOLK, Frozen stage show, etc.

Thanks! We're visiting with an AEA rep in a few weeks and might get to meet some performers, so I'm trying to suss out our options.

An excellent choice would be FOLK/FotLK if that’s in your schedule

The number of Equity roles are surprisingly few. My son and his wife were both Entertainment CMs for many years (non-Equity). DIL was a dancer in FotLK. Most of that cast is not AEA. I believe only the 4 principles are actually Equity roles.

In the Beauty and the Beast show, only Belle and Gaston are Equity. Jedi Training Academy - only the Jedi trainer is Equity.

Disney works very hard to limit the number of Equity roles ($$$).

And the ballerina and her partner are equity as well as the Fire Dancer and Tumble Monkeys. That’s why it makes for a great photo op if @hodad ‘s friend has connections.

Jedi Training equity now includes the Nedris actress/actor. The equity costs doubled for the new JT Show.

The Citizens on Main Street in MK and Hollywood Blvd. in DHS are equity. DiVine in AK is also equity.

There are actually quite a few in each park especially if you add in the groups that perform in Epcot. I haven’t watched MRFF in MK very often but all the dancers in Dream Along had been equity. My CM friend had been in the show but not as equity.

Very cool! CM friend has a similar résumé: JTA/F!/Dream Along/FoF and then moved to events.

She’s currently befriending Minnie in the DChannel Holiday Special that debuted last night.

I don't know a whole list, but from working at outside theatres in Orlando with equity actors who also work at Disney, I'm fairly certain that all the Citizens of both Main Street and Hollywood are equity, as well as the cast of Hoop-de-Doo (and probably Spirit of Aloha as well), and at least principals at Nemo and Jedi Training and the Historians in Frozen Sing-Along. I worked with a friend of Captain Jack both in the parks and out and he was equity, so I would guess then that at least that half of the Pirate Tutorial duo is equity. Not sure about other shows, but I would guess FotLK is also a mix or even full. I think most of the Epcot entertainment is third party contract (save Voices of Liberty and American Music Machine), so I don't know that they're equity, but I could be wrong. Not sure if equity actors can swing between equity and non-equity roles at the parks, as that would alter my guesses a bit.

According to DS, Equity actors can be used in non-Equity roles, but would have to be paid Equity rates. It just doesn't happen except in the most extreme circumstances.
