Child swap with express pass

Me, my husband, baby, and mother are doing a day at universal next week. we are planning on getting the universal express pass, but not the unlimited one. Since it’s only a day trip I don’t think we will do a ton of rerides.

When we do child swap, can someone ride with the person who waited with the baby so the rider isn’t alone? Also, since it’s not the unlimited, will that matter that someone would ride twice with minimal wait times? I just don’t want to get in the situation where they’re like “well someone will get to ride twice but only paid for the express bit the limited”

One person re-riding with the child-swapping adult will not be an issue. It’s how the program is designed.

To put your mind more at ease, when a ride has an express entrance and a standby entrance, there is usually a merge point where the lines come together, and that’s the last place express is checked. Child swap is after that point. People going to the child swap room do not re-enter the line, and once you’re there, no one cares if you have unlimited express, one-time express, or just waited in standby. Hulk and Rip Ride Rocket are a little different because you don’t wait in a child swap room, so they will give you a paper ticket to return, and you’ll go to the front of the line with your riding companion.

We recently did child swap at gringott and mummy rides. We all 6 of us 3 adults/3 kids. We all went in the Express line. At the point where they ask how many people you say child swap and one adult waited with the nonrider in their child swap room. When the riders came back- the adult who waited went back to loading area to ride, also the rest of the party who rode the first time got to ride again with them( except for one who stayed back with the nonrider)

Nobody cared at that point if you were reg express or unlimited -
