MEI-MFT says,
Driving in Walt Disney World after November 8? Check out this new entrance for guests driving to Disney's Hollywood Studios on the map below. Beginning Nov. 8, 2018, cars will use the new entrance and exit located off of Osceola Parkway. The current main entrance off World Drive and Osceola Parkway will be repurposed for Disney Cast Members only and the satellite entrance on Buena Vista Drive will be dedicated to buses.

When the new entrance opens, drivers will just need to spot one of the many updated roadway signs throughout the Walt Disney World Resort to easily navigate to the Disney Hollywood Studios parking lot. Vehicles coming from southbound Victory Way will also find a connecting road leading to the park.

Keep your eyes peeled for the new signs and safe driving!

I dunno. That eastbound exit loop scares me.

So much better than waiting for lights at Buena Vista drive though. Leaving DHS has always been a cluster**** for me. This looks like it's all continuous flow, which can still end up stop & go mind you, but at least not waiting on lights.

I hope there's a way to exit out onto Victory Way northbound. Otherwise it's a long trip home to get to Pop, AoA, CBR, and even the Epcot resorts.

West on Osceola, north on World Dr, east on Buena Vista gets you to the Epcot resorts at least without much detour. With all of those on the Skyliner Route, they probably figure they have their onsite guests covered.

Several lights as well as a long way around. Feels like a pretty substantial detour. I'm staying at Pop and AoA next January, so for a while at least, no Skyliner option for us.
We'll have to take a look at the route to see if there's an easy way to add a loop onto Victory later if there's not one yet.

You can just go west on Osceola, exit to World Dr. southbound and loop back on the same exit to Osceola eastbound, then turn left onto Victory northbound.

That's annoying. As a local (and even before that staying at WDW with a car) I've never taken the entrance from World Drive. Its always been the entrance across from BW that we used. Coming from the Winter Garden area (behind the MK) our route to the studio was either driving down World Drive from the MK area or coming in on Western Way. Either way we would just take Buena Vista Drive to DHS.

You were part of the problem!:teeth: The BVD entrance was not designed for the volume of users who thought it convenient, and routinely backed up on busy mornings and Osborne evenings. Oftentimes traffic trying to turn left into the Studios backed up past Victory Way, and sometimes took 6 or 7 light cycles to make it in.

I'm confident that you will find the new route easy & convenient. From Western Way, just turn right on BVD, go thru 2 quick traffic lights, then a right turn onto Osceola eastbound and directly into the new entrance with 10 entry lanes.

Yes, my wife tells me that all the time. :chat:
Wondering if the bus entrance will also be restricted to bus only for exit as well.

Interesting point. Since they've got that dedicated right-turn lane all the way from the old exit to Victory Way, maybe it will be a right-turn-only exit for CBR, Pop, & AoA Guests. Buses won't be needing it (the lane) because they're being replaced by the Skyliner, and they'll still have the left right-turn lane for DS and the DS resorts, without having to cross or merge with Guest traffic.

That would explain there being no apparent route directly onto Victory from the new exit.

This is a bioreconstruct photo of a Walt Disney World leaflet given to guests about the new entrance to DHS by car starting on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Only the buses appear to be still using the same old entrance.
