To consolidate the responses so far, here are your available options:
1. Take a cab. Be sure to call downstairs before heading down in case there is not a cab waiting for you. Total additional cost is about $10-$15 and should take no more than 15 minutes curb to curb.
Best option IMO as well.
2. Take resort bus to DHS and then take boat to BC. From POR to Cape May Cafe check-in counter would take about an hour (including waits, transfers, walking, etc.).
3. Take resort bus to DTD and then take bus to BC. This would take at least an hour as well. Keep in mind that the DTD bus to BC is considered one of the worst transportation legs in all of WDW for a multitude of reasons.
4. Walk around the outside of Epcot to BC. On foot, this would also take at least an hour, isn't always the easiest to identify, and might just ruin you for the rest of the day since it's WALKING for an hour rather than sitting and riding one form of transportation or another.
Since we always look for the path of least resistance where and when possible (and at WDW, these aren't always easy to identify), this one is a no-brainer. Cough up the Hamilton and take a cab!
