Cake delivery

Hello,
In the planning stages for our 25th anniversary dinner @ the Yachtsman Steakhouse, would like to have a special cake delivered during our dinner. So do I call the cake hotline number or the restaurant itself ? Thanks for any help, also feel free to chime in on my plans and choice of restaurant.

I would try the restaurant first. I ordered a cake in 2005 from the Boardwalk Bakery and they could not deliver it anywhere; I toted it myself from the bakery to my room! 'Course I had a fancy-schmancy Lenox cake topper on it, and that may be why they didn't want to deliver it.

I would call the cake hotline first. It was set up to streamline the ordering process for cakes being delivered to guests dining in restaurants.

My Anniversary is tomorrow (11/11) and we are arriving at SSR in the AM.

I have ADRs at Cail Grill and would love to have flowers or something delivered to the room or the restaurant even.

Please Give me some specific numbers or whatever.

I am not positive about the flowers. BUT for the cake - I have used the cake hotline before. They will make anything you want and delivery wherever you want them to. The costs is very reasonable as well.

Just did this at Yachtsman last week.

Call cake hotline. Wait for option # ?, for Yacht Club. Place order, give c/c # for guarantee. Piece of cake!

No, it's not too late! I would call today though. I think you can do it up until 48 hrs. before if I remember right.

Can you order a cake that is wheat free? There are a couple members of my family that cannot have anything made with wheat flour. We always bake with the wheat free flours.

We had this cake for our anniversary last summer at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. My TA called the restaurant directly and ordered it for me (it was a mini wedding cake). The cost was to be $25 but when we were there, we had that instead of the regular desert (we were on the dining plan) and they just used our credits for that. A little pixie

I would say in the case of allergies it would be better to contact the restaurant or bakery directly. I know the two bakeries (GF and Boardwalk) can do custom things, I think one of those would be your best bet. The cake hotline is for general requests.

I would agree, contact someone directly.

The cake hotline had limited options for cake and icing, so I think wheat free flour would be beyond them, based on my conversation 2 weeks ago. They seem to have limited options.

I would tell you from recent experience to call the restaurant directly. We will be celebrating our Anniversary this Sunday at Concourse SteakHouse and only certain cakes are delivered to certain restaurants is what I was told from the cake hotline. I was given the number to the restaurant and certain cakes are not delivered at all. Such as some that are made at the GF bakery stay at that resort, as with the bakery at Contemporary. After talking with different people and getting different stories, I will be following up with my order for Cinderella Castle in white chocolate 48 and 24 hours prior to our dinner.
