Both water parks open this summer?

I prefer the wave pool at BB. You can grab a tube and just bob in the water. I much prefer the decor of TL though.
So BB has gently rolling waves and TL has more ocean-like waves? DD likes the stronger ones, so trying to figure out which wave pool she will prefer. We also like medium tube slides if anyone has recommendations for BB vs TL.

Yes, that is correct. At Blizzard Beach the wave pool is a constant rocking, whereas at Typhooon Lagoon, the waves are bigger and every few minutes, they blow the "Typhoon Warning" and set of BIG ones comes through. TL also has a cove that is sheltered from the big ones where smaller kids can hang out.

Yes, BB are just rolling waves that are relaxing in a tube...TL has the traditional wave pool/typhoon type waves - it's what my kids prefer too. They're not constant, but they cycle through amount no waves and then the big crashing ones.

I think that's a reason why we prefer BB. We live in a beach town so can get waves anytime we want, we prefer the more relaxing wave pool that BB has.

I’m glad both are open. It gets WDW a little positive press. Gives guest an option on which to go to. We have never been to BB because it’s always closed when we donour spring and fall trips.

I am very happy that I was wrong about this!!!
You can thank EPIC universe. WDW is trying everything they can to get guest to come this summer.
Past weekend was preview for locals and media. Reviews were WONDERFUL.
EPIC is for 10 and above. WDW is hoping to maximize the young families group. That is why you can not go to MK, only the other 3 parks.

From what I've seen, both Isle of Berk and Super Nintendo Land (or whatever it's called) are both geared towards children as well as adults. I don't think Epic looks 10 and above at all. A friend went with a Universal Team Member on Monday and said it's a great family park. Also, not sure I understand the bolded part above - maybe you are referring to the current 3 park discounted ticket offered by Disney? I actually think that was a smart idea. Epic will attract people to the now 4 Universal parks (including VB in that). They may leave one day to go visit a Disney park, and in all likelihood, it will be the MK. Disney will get full price for that ticket!

I think all of universal gears more 7/8 and up honestly. There is not much for toddlers and preschoolers. With the price of epic I wouldn't go until everyone is 48 inches which for most kids is 7/8, and few tall 6 yo which puts it right on what I said.

Now that our first wish (both water parks open) has been granted, does anyone think they will improve bus transportation direct from some resorts to alleviate the full parking lot problem? It seems unlikely, but one can dream.

I've been taking my kids since they were babies to Universal they've always enjoyed it.

There is really only 3 rides at Epic that have a 48" height requirement and most of them just require a supervising companion.
